My boyfriend and I kept joking that we 'peaked' by going to La Fortuna at this point in our lives. It is by and far the best place we've stayed and I can't imagine a more idyllic experience. Suite 1 was luxurious yet simple and comfortable while being totally immersed in nature. It was a perfect retreat. We couldn't get...

We had a wonderful visit to La Fortuna. Before I go into all the fantastic things about La Fortuna, and there are many, I would like to point out that the Petite Bungalows are really small, almost too small for 2 people. There is only enough room inside for one piece of luggage so generally some luggage has to be...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us! We always appreciate when clients point out facts that we ourselves try to stress. Yes our petite bungalows are small - they are our more affordable options but are made with the same love and design as the larger options. For those guests wanting more space we do suggest...

I honestly cannot think of one complaint I have about La Fortuna. The rooms and grounds were beautiful, the views stunning, and the staff incredibly personable and helpful. I truly felt like guest satisfaction was the utmost priority. I would very highly recommend staying here!

Owners Kat and Steve have created beautiful Balinese style bungalows and gardens. Guests dine together by candlelight in the main building and coffee and breakfast is delivered directly to your bungalow porch each morning. They provide kayaks for guests to use on the lake which I took advantage of. I adjusted my itinerary of this trip to be able to...

We had been hoping to find available dates here and were finally successful. We've already booked our next visit. La Fortuna definitely surpasses expectations, and our expectations were high! We stayed in Petite Bungalow 3, which was charming. Very comfortable mattress, and the outside bathroom is gorgeous. Showering under the stars by candlelight, surrounded by flowering trees - priceless. We...

La Fortuna is truly magical, you have to see it for yourself! From the very first email I sent Steve and Kat they were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. They arranged for transportation to and from La Fortuna from the airport and even made some amazing recommendations for where to eat and stay during the rest of our...

My partner and I stayed in March 2016 and couldn't recommend this hotel more. The owners Kat and Steve went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The were also extremely helpful through the booking process and organising our transfers to the hotel. They are able to organise transfers from Antigua and also to the hotel via private...

Wow! Just wow! The lodge is amazing, the location sublime! Can't think of anywhere I'd rather stay on the lake! Take the local boats around the lake or just relax in the perfect setting. We stayed in the lake front cottage. It's number 1 on TripAdvisor for good reason!

Went here with my wife on our Honeymoon and couldn't have enjoyed it more. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts brought to our suite and the dinners were great in the lodge. What a place. Totally isolated and with beautiful cabins with inspiration from Bali. Nice wood fired hot tub with great lake views. Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. Also thank you for pointing out that yes we are in an isolated bay which is why the atmosphere is so chill but yes - it also means that it is a bit more effort to have meals out. We try to keep our prices reasonable for the...
