Long drives makes one tired—QI is a safe place run by Navajo tribe. Hogan family diner next door has great steak by Native Steaks Company, farmed locally by cow folks 4-H and sourced sustainable.

We stayed one night and we noticed the some of the sheets were dirty. The room was good but the bathroom seemed small. One good part about this stay was the free breakfast at the restaurant right by the hotel. You get a coupon worth...More
After marathon drives through the beautiful-but-dusty, foreign-but-interesting Navajo Nation, these lodgings are a welcome sight. Tuba City is not the Middle of Nowhere, but you can see it from there. This inn is priced fairly for being the one of the few motels along a...More
Nice, clean, large room with comfortable bed. Hotel is located in a safe and quiet area. Breakfast is provided in the restaurant next door. Everything about this hotel was very fine - except the price! At over $200 for one night, it has to be...More

As your previous respondent said it is an easy drive from the Grand Canyon. There are obviously tours of the Grand Canyon but if you refer to tours from Tuba City we certainly didn't see any. Most people seemed to be using it as a staging post to their next destination and it is not really tourist oriented.. There are places you could drive to but they are quite a distance and as we were due to visit them later we frankly struggled to find much to do. If you are prepared to do some research (which we didn't) you may well come up with something. Sorry that this is not more dynamic but hope it is of use.
