Liked the hotel - it was comfortable and right where we wanted to be - in the heart of Monument Valley - had a lot of Navajo information - desk staff was great - even when we got up extra early for breakfast!!
We stayed here for our back and forth to the Grand Canyon South Rim. It was a little over an hour away but it is a clear easy highway back and forth. Cute town with drive through restaurants and gas stations.
they front desk was very easy with check in, and the room was wonderful! Everything we needed after a long day at the Grand Canyon. They give you a breakfast voucher for hte restaurant for breakfast. Nothing special, but at least it was free :)...More

This hotel does well because it is literally in the middle of nowhere. The civilized world is about a 5 hour drive from here.
The hotel does well because of this key factor. The rooms are nothing that great, and breakfast service is horrifying.

As your previous respondent said it is an easy drive from the Grand Canyon. There are obviously tours of the Grand Canyon but if you refer to tours from Tuba City we certainly didn't see any. Most people seemed to be using it as a staging post to their next destination and it is not really tourist oriented.. There are places you could drive to but they are quite a distance and as we were due to visit them later we frankly struggled to find much to do. If you are prepared to do some research (which we didn't) you may well come up with something. Sorry that this is not more dynamic but hope it is of use.
