We called this hotel while traveling from Tahoe to Oklahoma. We had just left Hoover Dam when we called to check on a room for one night. The girl who answered the phone was very rude and hateful! She took our credit card info and charged us for a room.....no disclaimer, no confirmation number and no Thank You!!! After we... More

I looked into this matter and found that the Front Desk Associate you spoke with did lose you due to the lack of cell phone service in the area you were traveling. She did not intentionally hang up on you. Because you had just made the reservation, she did reverse the charge to your credit card and you were not... More

Arrived after sunset and left early for sunrise but the staff at the reception was so funny and friendly I kind of forgot about the 5 hours drive. The rooms were ok but could do with some renovating. Used the jacuzzi as it's indoors while there was still snow outside which was great! As it was low season the bar... More

The main reason for staying at Canyon Plaza Resort is obviously the location. As far as that goes, it is perfect: the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is a short jaunt up the road. I was there on a Saturday and Sunday night on the ground floor. The bar was on the other side of my door (the rooms... More

We stayed here one night after driving from Vegas in January. We arrived in the evening to snow covered grounds very tired. The check in was seamless, the staff were friendly, we had a room that opened right into the atrium area where there was a cute hot tub with a small waterfall. The room was basic but clean, the... After traveling 250 miles with our two small dogs we check in to find out we must pay a $50 nonrefundable deposit for our dogs. All that was listed on travelocity was that the hotel was pet friendly, but since we reserved thru travelocity and prepaid we could not cancel without losing our money, so we had to pay the... More

Perfect for stopover for one night to pay quick visit to the Grand Canyon. We had a room with 2 double beds for our family of 4. Balcony overlooked spa which would've been great had it been warmer. Bar area next to spa looked like a good spot to relax in good weather. Bathroom fine. We were however on 3rd... More

Okay, so I read most of these awful reviews about the canyon resort plaza whilst I was unpacking my things at the canyon resort plaza. For $85 for one king bed room for a night, I was happy as long as the bed was clean and the doors locked. We walked over the road and had a mediocre meal at... More

Thank you for staying at Canyon Plaza Resort and leaving your feedback. We apologize that your most recent experience with us was less than satisfactory for you. We apologize for the inconvenience and we should have made sure the linens were changed properly. In regards to the over chlorinated pool, we have made changes to ensure it will not be... More

We visited the Grand Canyon in December 2012 and stayed at the Canyon Plaza Resort for 2 nights while we visited the South Rim. The rooms were very clean, very comfortable, and spacious. The lobby was cheerily decorated for Christmas and holiday music played through the hotel during the day. The fireside sitting area was a treat. Considering it was... More

we stayed in a suite, it was more like an apartment with a bedroom and a living room. we really liked it. the only issue was it was hard to heat the inside, but after having the heater on for an hour, it was solved. very close to grand canyon park.

We stayed here cause its close to the park. It was really nice, clean and friendly!! The restaurant was a little pricey for what I would call mid grade food....but your not really gonna find anything better around Tusayan! Theres a restaurant in the park at the bright Angel resort, it was much better food and fairly reasonably priced also!!... More
