Tusayan is definitely the best and closest place to stay to visit the South Rim of Grand Canyon. The are quite a few accommodation options here but Red Feather was the cheapest option for us - a family of 4. There is Hotel and Motel style rooms. The Hotel being the more expensive and new rooms. We booked into the... More

Tusayan is, without doubt, the best place to stay to visit the Grand Canyon, but you pay a premium for the convenience, and the Red Feather Lodge is consistently the cheapest place available. There are plans afoot to build more hotels but for now, the Red Feather Lodge is the nearest you get to a budget option in Tusayan. The... More

It was fair but the price was high and when you looked around at the other hotels in this tourist settlement ,nothing exceptional and nothing too bad .Tusayan a disappointment as has no character. So hotel using the Mexican restaurant next door demonstrates the lack of choice

We wanted a hotel close to the park gates of The Grand Canyon. This was an excellent choice for us. There is no restaurant at this hotel. We did eat 1 dinner at the Best Western Hotel just down the street which was excellent. We also spent 1 night there as well, simply because we couldn't get 3 nights at... More

We had made reservations for 2 nights, when checking in, staff informed us we had the room for only one night. My husband got the confirmation documentation sent at the time the reservation was made to prove we had reservations for 2 nights. Desk staff didn't make eye contact. The hotel was worn, bath tubs were worn, no continental breakfast,... More

We stayed for one night to visit the Grand canyon and found the girls friendly and helpful enough. Our room was good, clean and we had no complaints, for the money we paid in Tusayan, as it compared well to all the others price wise. Plenty of parking at the rear of the building, as the front fills up early.... More

I stayed at red feather lodge for 1 night with 4 of my family members. The room was comfortable and at a good location just few minutes away from South side gate of Grand Canyon. The only issue I had was the wireless did not work well in the room and I had to sit in the lobby to do... More

There is a huge difference between the hotel and motel on this property. I made the mistake of booking the Motel. No fridge which I really needed and are not available in the Motel. Ugly outside, I wouldn't stay here again in the motel section. Good location.

My wife and myselve spent 3 nights in building 4 (old part of the hotel). The room was a bit noisy due to the many air conditioning units, to the toilet fans and the parking lot nearby. The bed was too soft (we were sliding towards each other ... nice except when you want to sleep). The safety chain at... More

The staff did not seem to be friendly. The hotel is close to the national park (5 min by car), restaurants and small markets. Clean room with basic amenities. Worth the price. Tip: definitely worth waking up at dawn to sunrise. Best Sunset -> Yaki Point Best Sunrise -> Hopi Point.
