Note that we have not stayed in Forum hotel, but dined in their restaurant, having failed to find anything better (but for a couple of pizzerias) on our way through Sudak. So this review is of their restaurant only. We didn’t put any expectations on the place and only needed a bite before going back to Yalta. From this viewpoint it was okay. Forum wasn’t too easy to reach as it’s situated, although centrally, on a one-way main street. We missed the right turn to drive right to the hotel, so just parked one block away and walked. But there is a small street parking in front of the hotel as well. The interior was both pretentious and simple; kind of a typical Crimean resort canteen. A/C was operating stronger than needed in October. It was possible to either order a set dinner (UAH 50, ca US$6), which would have been cheaper and faster, or go through the menu. We opted for the latter. Half of the menu entries was absent (due to low season perhaps?). Say, no soups other than borsch were available. I ended up with Russian salad, Risotto with broccoli and mushrooms, and chicken. Cooked somewhat slow, and presented very simple, these were all quite good though. Sadly, coffee was terrible; avoid! The bill came 2-3x less than what we paid in the Great Yalta; a fair value. Service was okay for Crimea; I don’t have anything particular to complain about, but also nothing special to compliment them for. Again, not a place to go specifically for, the restaurant of Forum hotel was okay for a proper (no fast food) bite on the road.

First off my wife speaks Russian and Ukrainian. But they still treated us like crap! They lied about their pool and sauna on their website. They don't have them. They charge extra for their gym.The staff not only didn't speak english but were so rude. I felt like I spent two nights in the Soviet Union. That is what they should call that hotel. The asst. manager told me after I asked why do I have to pay extra for gym use,".It is my hotel so you must pay and don't ask any more questions!" Breakfast was two hotdogs and overcooked vegetables. What rubish! Don't go to this hotel there are plenty more in Sudak and much better. Someone should call in an air strike on this hotel and do the world a favor!
