Our stay at Rio Tierra Casitas was a delight – both restful and invigorating. Creative southwestern décor of the cottage and surrounding area provided an ongoing discovery of hidden treasures. Hassayampa River flowing nearby was ideal for serene, private nature renewal. Katy and John are gracious, welcoming hosts. The breakfast fixin’s can’t be beat: fresh fruits, gourmet coffee, refrigerator stocked...

It was such a pleasure to have you and glad you liked the goodies. From the moment of your reservation, I knew we would be making new friends. Thanks for discovering us and we look forward to sharing more of our place with you next time.

Rio Tierra is a place of comfort and peace during the emotionally draining Family Week at the local treatment centers. I highly recommend this over staying at a hotel / motel. This is a home away from home and a place to relax after the intense days of a Family Week.

Rio Tierra Casitas are like home away from home, with bedroom, bath and kitchen/living room. The decor was country and reminded me of my grandmother. Having a full kitchen for a 5 day stay was excellent. There were books to read, even a warm afghan to wrap around me while reading on the daybed. Delicious homemade sweetbread. Everything clean, neat...

Rio Tierra is the absolute best place to stay in Wickenburg. The property is fun with adorable decorations, a pavilion area, and horseshoe pit. At the back of the property is a gate you can enter to explore a nature conservancy area. We hiked along the Hassayampa River and saw all kinds of critters. We also hiked up to a...

Rio Tierra Casitas, specifically the MexiCasa, was the perfect place to get away from it all. The casita was designed with craftsmanship and beautifully decorated. The grounds combine treasured finds beautifully placed within nature. The casitas are located next to a preserve and hiking along the river (more like a brook when we went) was great. And you couldn't ask...

Wow...what a jewel to be found in the wonderful Hassayampa River Preserve. We really needed to "get out of town" for a bit, and the unique atmosphere, combined with the friendliness of John and Katy, really helped make our stay a genuine joy. The hiking trails in the preserve are super and the Anna's and the Black throated hummingbirds are...

The Rio Tierra Casitas owners, Katy and John, are very professional in the reservation process and reserving there is the right choice. The casitas and your hosts make you feel at home, are well equipped and thoughtfully decorated in southwestern themes. Much effort and dedication has gone into the decorations of each Casita. We particularly liked the Mexicasa Roca and...

Katy and John provide the perfect environment from which to explore Wickenburg and the surrounding area. The casitas are beautifully and creatively decorated, with individual imagination and care. There is a great atmosphere of consideration and it is the very opposite of a corporate, chain motel. Personal attention to detail, vintage furnishings and friendliness and cleanliness are the order of...

Wow! This is the place to stay if you're visiting Wickenburg! We were visiting a loved one at The Meadows, so after a long day during family week it was nice to come back to our "little casita". Clean, adorable with all comforts of home! Highly recommend!
