My friend and I were visiting Phoenix from the Midwest and wanted to go horseback riding. Many of the ranches are closed due to the hot weather, but Flying E ranch was able to accommodate us and give us an early morning ride before it...More
Incredible weekend destination. Everything was over the top outstanding, but the #1 reason the Flying E Ranch is such a special destination is because every single person on the staff LOVES what they do and can't wait share it with you and watch you delight...More

I am 64 years old and had not ridden since I was about 14 and only once or twice. I loved it. They will adjust a ride to your needs. I could handle about an hour and a half on gentle terrain. Horses are chosen for you and children based on your abilities and experience and also age. There are lots of kids and lots to do. There is Taffy, the friendliest dog in the world and two cats that you hardly see. I would say there are more fun things on weekends such as cow pie toss and team penning but it depends on their number of guests. BUT, it has been amazing every time we have been there and always, there are lots kids. They have cowboy boots and hats in all sizes. The cookouts at the Chuckwagon are fun with campfire songs etc. you will never forget your experience here or regret going!

I agree with the above, but especially that Ande will give you truthful advice on what will work best for you economically, as well as sleeping comfortably. We usually bunk in 2 adjacent rooms that have a kitchette in between (parents in one room, 1 grandma and a teenager in the 2nd room), and it was really nice to have the rooms connect especially when my daughter was younger.. Last year we added an aunt, and had a roll away in one of the rooms and it was just fine. There are plenty of areas large enough for your family to get together, as well as quiet places to go, it is a slice of heaven after all!
