Made the reservation in June for a hunting trip. When we made the reservation for an RV spot, we were told we could pay by the day. This was due to the possibility we would get an elk and not stay the whole9 days. When we got there, we were told we we were told they had just bought the place and their policy had changed. We had to pay for the whole 9 days and would not get a refund if we left early. The East Indian lady told us they had fired the lady we made the reservation with. I explained that even though they had fired the lady, she had been working for them and they should stand by what their employee had told us. I also told them they should have contacted us and told us if there had been policy changes. After 20 minutes of going back and forth with the lady, she told us she would honor the original deal. I asked if there was a bathroom I could. She told me it was in, by the pool. I went in and found the pool was green. The bathroom did not have a door lock or a light. There were feces all over the toilet and it stunk. We set up the RV and the water supply had a leak and was puddling under the RV. Their maintenence man was able to fix it, eventually. After five days, the bath house and toilets were filthy. Both bathrooms had rub out of toilet paper. We went to the office. I told the lady the bathrooms were filthy and there was no toilet paper in either one. She told me the maintenance man had just finished cleaning one of the rooms and was on his way to the bathouse to take care of it. We chatted about some other things for about five minutes. When I started to leave, I reminded her about the bathroom situation. She, then told me the maintenance man had gone into town to get some maintenance supplies and would get to the bathrooms.n(this was 5 minutes after she told me he was on his wat to the bathouse to take care of the situation) Finally, after about six hours with no toilet paper in the bathrooms, someone came in, replaced the toilet paper, emptied the trash cans, and wiped down the toilets and sinks. The floors and shower stalls were still filthy. I think this place should be reported to the Health Dept. I will never stay there, again and I advise everyone not to stay there.

One of the worst RV parks I've stayed..luckily only 2 notes. Was a "deluxe" site with an uneven pad, broke down wood table. Indoor pool was disgusting looking. It might have been nice 20 yrs ago..not anymore...invest in this park..it is obvious this has not happened

$40 for a dry camp site. When I booked I specifically asked if there was a table at the site and asked again at check in, was told yes both times, there was no table, there was an OLD electrical spool that was falling apart and full of trash. There was also a rather large dirt pile in the camp site which limited our ability to set up. There was trash and lots of weeds in the campsite as well. Went to do some laundry, 2 of 4 dryers, 1 of 4 washers and the coin machine was out of order the laundry soap dispenser was out of product. There did not seem to be much pride of ownership visible in the whole RV park. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

We stayed here 2 years ago and camped in the tent area. It was very clean and the staff great. We decided to take our RV here this year and the place has gone down hill!! Overgrown weeds, lots of things with bathhouse and laundry facilities in disrepair, almost non existent staff presence, the RV storage area out front makes the place look junky, for the prices you pay here not worth it. It is sad to see it go down hill because it’s in a great location.

When we decided to go to Williams to take the train to the Grand Canyon and stay at this unique, historic motel built in the 1940s on Route 66, we were pretty excited for this motel to be a part of our group’s adventure. Their website stated that all rooms have been updated and renovated. Whomever built this motel in the 1940s had a great idea with the clusters of rooms out off of Route 66 and not in the middle of all the other motels. Apparently, the new owners profess they are working on updating and renovating this unique and quaint motel. They might have the right idea, but the execution of their plans is not going well or at least it appears the renovations are haphazardly done. So this is a tough review to write because our group of six people staying in three rooms did not get the updated and renovated stay that we looked forward too. All three rooms requested AC in our rooms and only two of the three rooms had AC. The married couple in our group had a fairly good stay in their room with AC. My friend's and my stay was fairly uneventful, room had AC, ceiling fan didn’t work, and room's condition was worn out but acceptable. I say acceptable for a room that wasn’t updated or renovated. The bathroom door could not be properly closed for privacy. There should have been two properly sized chairs to use the table inside the room. There was no tissues or enough toilet paper in the room. More was requested, but not sent over. I had to borrow tissues from one of my friends. Now for the fiasco for my other two friends. They were put in Room #2 that had no AC even though it was requested and confirmed for Room #15 with AC via email and a phone call prior to us arriving. When she was told that they couldn't accommodate her, my friend was also told, "If you don't like your room, you can go somewhere else." Our group was quite shocked to hear this coming from, which we found out later was, the owner's wife. This would have meant our entire group would have had to try and find three rooms in Williams where the other motels were. In trying to work out the accommodations for my friend, the owner gave her the room in Caboose #1 and we moved her. Then they told her they were moving her again because the AC Caboose #1 was not supposed to be there. So she had to wait about an hour in my room for Room #16 to be cleaned. They were also told by the owner’s wife after they moved them to Room #16, that she better not hear any complaints from them about the room. Who does this? Why do this? On the morning of our departure, my friend had to shower with no hot water. And yes my friend told the lady that there was no hot water for her shower upon leaving. So needless to say, staying at this Historic Motel with updated and renovated rooms was not the best part of our “Let’s Take a Train to the Grand Canyon Adventure.” A final odd occurrence with this motel happened when I received a Thank you for your payment email from the motel at 11:30 a.m. before we even checked in to the motel. So if you stay here, make sure you are fully informed on the room you get as they will move you without notifying you even after your room has been confirmed. You also may not be getting that full updated or renovated room they boasted about on their website.

We had so much fun here. Quaint, historic hotel with super fun indoor pool and a tiny playground area that was perfect for our Roadtrip with our 5 year old granddaughter. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great A/C. Fun little train ride for kids. Quirky office with lots of stuff to buy. For the people complaining here, this is a historic motel. Very Route 66. It is not a Hilton. If you’re looking for a clean, modest, fun place to stay, this is it.

Very saddened & disappointed. Used to be 1 of our favorite spots. Recommend to family for a week. Bathrms were mess, decided after 2days to clean ourselves. Took over 40min to buy chapstick clerk took 20min to come out from back rm. Looked like they just rolled out of bed and another 20 min to complete transaction. Only 1 washing machine working. At the very least bathrms should be cleaned. Won't recommend to any1 again. New management?

Quaint, historic motel just on the outskirts of Williams AZ. It was perfect for our trip. We were able to leave our window open for some fresh air (no a/c in our room but there was a fan). Close to downtown Williams & the GC train. Some motel rooms are old train cars! It was reasonably priced and we were pleased with the place

We stayed here for 7 days and paid $57.94/night and that was with our Good Sam discount. To me this is way too much money for what you get here. We have stayed in many other RV parks that are much nicer for a lot less money. The sites are big enough for the larger rigs, but the sites are dirt and gravel and they aren't level. We had to put leveling blocks under our door side wheels. While we were there it was windy every day and the dirt was flying everywhere. We also tried to do laundry in their laundry room. They have four coin operated washers and dryers. We had laundry in all four dryers and found out after the drying was complete that only one of the dryers was heating properly. Due to this we lost an additional $6, $2/load and had to take our wet laundry to a nearby laundry mat. Now when we made our reservation we were never asked if we wanted 20 amp, 30amp or 50amp service. Even though I told them I had a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer, for whatever reason, they put us down for 30amp service. When we arrived we noticed they had 50amp service so naturally we plugged into the 50amp connection. Now after we left the park they charged our credit card an additional $21.07 for 50amp. There was nothing in our confirmation that indicated 50amp was an additional charge and they said nothing to us during check in. This brings the daily total up to $60.94/day, not including the laundry issue, for a park that isn't all that great.
