The history and art were the real highlights of our stay. The restoration of the original Mary Colter architecture and period furnishings were beautiful. The common areas were inviting with the bonus of Tina Mion's art. The rooms had great individual furnishings with a bit of history attached. The staff was friendly and inviting. Don't forget to visit the book...

If you like history, architecture, individual touches, beautiful grounds and good food then this is the hotel for you. The addition of Tina Mion's witty paintings is a huge bonus. I'm not a train enthusiast but I do get a kick out of seeing people who are dedicated observers of the Santa Fe railroad sitting by the track, late at...

We stayed at La Posada for the second time and enjoyed it even more than the first. This time we stayed in a large king bed room instead of the small king bed and it was well worth the extra $10. We asked for a room towards the front of the property, as far from the train tracks as possible...

We stayed at La Padosa because of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately for us, this property fell well short of our expectations. It has been restored to its former incarnation as a railroad guesthouse on Route 66. It's obvious much work has gone into the project and it retains many of its original features. The property has tons...

We visited this property in the spring while traveling to AZ and knew we would come back to spend a night! If you like glitz and glamor, you should pass on this, BUT if you are looking for a relaxed get away and are in search of a place with character and charm this is worth exploring! The rooms are...

The hotel is superb. There are halls of photo's and Art so give yourself time to browse and absorb the ambiance. The rooms are comfortable but short on amenities. There was no in room coffee, refrigerator or other things that are becoming common place. The WiFi was ok, a little slow, the shower was good in an old style tub....

Each room has a plaque outside it with the photo and name of the celebrity or celebrities who slept there! The colors everywhere are vibrant and the architecture like an old hacienda from the movies! Just a lovely place to stay; very inviting, very elegant and full of museum-like areas to walk through and enjoy!

We stopped in to the La Posada hotel on a day trip out of Flagstaff. We toured around the public spaces inside the main entrance, got a few souvenirs from the gift shop, and had lunch at the Turquoise Room restaurant. Great food served by friendly staff perfectly re-create how this former Harvey House must have been like in its...

I got a late start driving to Phoenix for Christmas and stayed at La Posada with my Berner. the room opened out to an expansive lawn that was perfect for a walk with her. The room was OK, nothing out of this world but the restaurant was Outstanding! I sat at the bar for dinner and had soup, salad &...

We were in Winslow for one night so that we could be "Standin' on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona" the next day... (I'm not explaining it here if you don't get it :) ) ... there was not a big , or great selection of hotels to stay in with the exception of a few chain hotels at the interchange(s)...
