Wifi signal is weak. The room smells like smoke. No heat coming out from the heater/AC. Barely any hot water. Beds are way too soft. It’s about the only hotel in town so......whatever. It worked for coming from the ferry. I would do my best to avoid next time....
We stayed for two nights while trying to book passage on the ferry to La Paz. The rooms were nothing special - quiet basic really. However, the front desk and other staff were all very kind and helpful. We were driving a brand new Toyota Tacoma, with an airstream in tow, and were a bit nervous about parking it overnight. The hotel's locked parking area turned out to be safe and secure. It's not a high-end place by any means, but it's easy to tell that management cares about their guest's experience and well-being.
We wanted to take the ferry to La Paz, but it was fully booked and we did not have a reservation. The hotel helped to ease our frustration. We had a very pleasant stay. The pool area is quiet and very beautiful with clean water and nice furniture. The rooms are clean and everything is well maintained. We can only recommend it
Great sea food, you take de ferry TO TRANSPORT YOUR CAR form this town to La Paz BCS ,super safe if you are traveling by car. The ferry has cabin you take it at evening and early in the morning you arrive to La Paz. It was a great road trip
We were looking for a peaceful getaway for our working holiday life. We felt instantly comfortable and well looked after. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is well-situated and walking distance to the entire town. There are some simple street restaurants within a couple minutes and all amenities within 15 minutes walk. The pool isa little mirky and a little off-putting but some of that may be that we’re used to our private pool at home. The wifi is great. The staff are attentive. The only sore spot is the restaurant. At four times the price of anywhere else, we got a child’s portion of food which left us hungry and annoyed. The restaurant staff are lackadaisical. When we complained about the high prices and small portions, they insisted that our omelette had two eggs. It looked more like one egg for two people. They were unapologetic and we assured them we would not be eating there again. There are too many places nearby where there is not only great food, good portion size and love. …
Hotel Marina is the base if you are looking to catch the ferry for La Paz.. rooms are simple and clean. Hotel is located near the Barbour. And service is nice. But other than this, you have no reason to stay there or in Topolobampo. We found the beach very dirty and the boat ride to see the dolphins, while great, is not enough of a reason to go and extend your trip there.
We got there around 11pm and although the guy was very nice he could not find our reservation. When he finally did and took us to our room. The room was so run down. The beds didn't have a bed sheet. The huge window that looked out to the corridor had a small curtain and you could easily see inside. There were cockroaches (at least 5). We asked to change room and the one he offered was in front of the parking lot. After the cockroaches we could not stay any longer. The pictures are so deceiving. We had to leave, could not spend the night there.
I was positively surprised - clean, good bed, room more than okay and not expensive. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very convenient and quiet hotel close to the ferry. I nearly did not book hotel because of some poor reviews, so i was positively surprised.
Used Expedia to book two rooms. Upon arrival, they said they only had one room for our family of five and we had to pay with cash. Due to a late ferry and tired children, we complied and they could not have been happier. In the morning, the front desk lady refunded one of our rooms, but refused to refund both rooms. The room was OK. Old tube style television, saggy bed, no hot-water, ants nest in our room. They had two or three smoke alarms that were beeping all night right outside our room and the walls were plastic. We travel a lot...especially in third-world countries so this is not our complaint. We just don't like unorganized and dishonest people.
The hotel is clean but a little dated. Beds are hard. We arrived on the ferry from La Paz around 6:30 pm so wanted to find a place before sunset. We had friends recommend as its close to the ferry docks. Easy to find. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice pool, Internet. The restaurant on the hotel grounds was empty and we were the only ones the whole times. I had the garlic shrimp which was excellent. Worth the stop.
