This was our second visit. Last time we had a superior room, so were a little disappointed with the standard room, although it was a good price. We also assumed there was a lift as previously, but not for this room. That said, the room was fine, had a very comfortable bed and good bathroom. The only discomfort was the bolster...

We chose this hotel as it's very conveniently located at the center of Argentat. The room was a bit dark as we couldn't find any windows, but we didn't care much about it. The most important was that the location is very good, the sleep was amazing and the staff is wonderful!!

The receptionist was lovely- very warm and helpful. Our room was basic and very clean. Large comfortable bed, TV (French only) good free wifi, large bathroom and electronic shutters over the window. Our room was perfect for us. There is a small hotel bar and a large restaurant, however we only had breakfast here, which was a buffet- again, very...

Nice hotel with laid back (slow) service and clean rooms. The pool was nice and the grounds were loaded with trees and birds. The hotel was functional. The property had a bar and a good quality foosball and ping pong tables. We had a buffet lunch here which was quite good. The breakfast was economical.

We stayed two nights in April. The receptionist was very welcoming and the room very pretty with a view of gardens. The bathroom was excellent with a heater, shaving miror, and large shower. Excellent double bed, only negative: it had a bolster. There are no drinks making facilities in the room. The garden and pool area are lovely and there...

We stayed for 3 nights in a superior room. The room was beautifully appointed with a view over the back of the hotel and a stunning arbour covered in wisteria which was in full bloom. The bathroom was huge with double basins and a jacuzzi bath. The room was well worth the extra euros and was extremely quiet. The hotel...

This town is really pretty; almost Cotswold stone type buildings with river dordogne. The hotel is in the centre but is in large grounds with good parking. I had a large room at the back overlooking the garden. Modern bathroom, nicely decorated and air conditioning. Garden was lovely for the evening sun with a beer. Spacious and airy restaurant with...

The hotel is nice and conveniently placed next to the town center. The room was quiet and large enough. The only problems we had were with the WiFi (not working on our floor) and the credit card payment (troubles with the card reader). The lady at the reception did not look very familiar withe devices...

The hotel is centrally located in Argentat within walking distance to the river Dordogne. Parking is limited but appeared to cope just on the night of our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and in good state of decoration. But as mentioned in other reviews, there is very little soundproofing. On the night of our stay some noisy guests returned...

We needed somewhere for 84 year old (English) mother to stay for a week while we retired to a gite a couple of miles away. The feedback was entirely positive: she was looked after most attentively. We ate with her in the hotel restaurant on the lunchtime of a public holiday and the multi-course meal was terrific. The central location...

“The rooms are a real warren of stairs and dark corridors. Definitely get one with a bathroom if you can. There is a lift if you have heavy bags. Every room is noisy, depending on your neighbors, so it doesn't really matter which room you get. Traffic noise is very minimal.”
