Once more we loved it: lovely auberge, great and large enough bedroom (la Canelle), very good to good meal at a raisonable price for the menu: mushroom cream - it is the season - game, cheese and a fantastic soufflé au Grand Marnier. And they have now a Michelin star. The reader should go! Oh yes, the bathroom is little... More

Dined here with our family including two grandsons, who are 14 and 11 who had an amazing experience. The best meal of this year, and probably of the past five or six. My wife and I have dined from San Francisco in one direction to Melbourne in the other, including lots of places in between and this was the best!... More

We thought to use this hotel as an ideal stop-over for our trip to Lens Louvre and on to Paris. This review grading covers only the hotel which we found to be excellent in both quality and price. Set in a conservation area, the hotel is both picturesque and well equipped. Our large lime-washed room was both charming and functional.... More

Stopped overnight on way from Dordogne back to UK. The area is quiet, pretty, relaxing walk through the forest to wash away the hours of driving. Room was very comfortable (we were in a suite in the old building). At this price, slightly surprised not to find a bottle of water in the room, but that is a small thing.... More

We spent two nights of a short break to France in this wonderful village, very unspoilt and surrounded by forests. It was mid-May, so a quiet time of year, and the Auberge an excellent choice. The staff were extremely helpful - I had a problem with a plug charger and they went out of their way to solve it. The... More

just returned from spending a couple of days at the auberge, staff all very polite, attentive, and always will to help wherever possible, language no problem at all, even gave me chance to prictise my very rusty French, in the restaurant , the food was excellent, the service was just what you would expect from a restaurant of this standard,... My wife and I spent one night here on the way from Belgium to Paris. We stayed here due to its proximity to Chateau de Pierrefonds, which we visited right after checking in.. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was well appointed and comfortable - we got a suite, and the extra space was well... More

Although we ate dinner every night for 3 nights the choice became non existent as the menu limits on Saturday and Sunday nights. Expensive. Stayed 4 nights. Literally locked out on bank holiday Monday except for bedroom.Breakfast good but food actually rationed 2 Croissant, 1 apricot or 5 cherries. No limited ham or cheese on the bank holiday at all.... We only stayed one night but really enjoyed the hotel and in fact the local area. Our room was clean, a good size but lacked shower facilities although there was a mixer with shower head (maybe because we were in the eves and therefore limited headroom) and that is the only criticism we have. The rest of our experience was... More

This was our first visit to to this absolutely delightful auberge nestled in the Forest of Compiegne and it will not be our last! A bit tricky to find but eventually found the village and checked in to a suite (the hotel was busy on Saturday with a wedding) which was very nicely decorated with a very good bathroom. The...
