Hotel Kastraki has the old charm. We had a nice and comfortable stay there. The staff gave us Meteora map and described each monastery and viewpoint, how to get there, etc. Everybody at Hotel Kastraki were friendly and always smiling. We booked a triple room. It’s got a balcony. The bed was comfortable. Towels and pillows were fresh and clean all the time. The bathroom is a little bit old and needing an upgrade though.
I have never seen a hotel where floor is carefully washed each time. The cleaning lady did an amazing job. My husband walked with white socks in the hotel room, bathroom and balcony and socks had no trace of dirt at all, still very white.
The breakfast was good. Everything we needed to start the day. We’re satisfied.
There’s free parking in front of the hotel.

Comfortable beds, and decent pillows (ie had a bit of bounce in them). No restaurant but there are several typical places within a short walk or further into the village. The one downside is the small showers - either step-in or a small sit-in bath. Plugs in washbasins a bit limited too. Breakfast quite adequate and staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was OK, as promised and expected. Room was clean. The only wonder was the breakfast. If you want to eat in the morning, order the breakfast with the booking or day before you are planning to have it. Otherwise you don't get any. The breakfast time was at 8-10, but they stopped offering it at 9.40. We were last people eating and they did not sell to a mom and doughter, because "breakfast time was over". There were food left and we just were wondering, why they don't want to utiluze extra food. Otherwise OK experience.

The views of the Meteora rocks straight from your balcony are just an amazing experience. Th hotel is located literally at the border of the village with unobstructed views to the rocks! The rooms were very clean and cosy. The owner went out of his way to prepare early breakfast for us. The only downfall was that we could only spent one night in this beautiful place.

Really enjoyed our one night stay while visiting the Meteora area. Location was perfect in a quaint little farming village of Kistraki where you will meet delightful local merchants and farmers. Room was tastefully decorated with a touch of Greek flare. Balcony had unobstructed view of the mountains. Breakfast selections were plentiful with many options. Only wish I could stay another day or two in this lovely community.

Very good option to visit Meteora. This hotel is not necessarily in the central busy location in Kalabaka, and I certainly enjoyed the quietness of its location and how close it was to the monasteries. There are at least 3 decent dining options close by for lunch or dinner.

I stayed in hotel two night , very freindly personal with fantastic service. Receptionist Mary ( as was discovered late she is a daughter of hotel owner ) helped for me solve my problems with the road support of the rental car, called and helped in solving my other problems. Breakfast was delicious, nutritious, and the worker Victoria is cute, professional and helped us with tips in finding interesting attractions.

Visit Meteora Travel planned this leg of our Greece trip for 3 friends and I. They arranged our stay at Hotel Kastraki. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. There are a couple restaurants right across the street and taxis are readily available to take you to Kalampaka for shopping and other restaurants/bars. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel.

Hotel Kastraki is a well run, traditional small hotel. The daughter of the family greeted us, made us comfortable in our room, and recommended the restaurant just down the block for dinner. We had a King bed - extremely comfortable - and our view of the Meteora monoliths was front and center - mind blowing view! The price was modest (80 euros), which included an excellent buffet breakfast. We would stay here again and again, and can easily recommend it.
