I am surprised to be the first reviewer of this place on Tripadvisor, because this is an absolute gem of Kalabaka, and my only regreat is that we stayed there for one night only.
To begin with, our room was spacious as well as the bathroom. Candies and tea bags were a warm and welcoming gesture. A semi-private terrace with a nice view to the a bright, green and fresh garden, well maintained by the owners Sofia and Stefania is designed for enjoying evenings with a glass of wine or local sweets. One can see a deep dedication to hospitality in cleanliness, as the room was spotlessly clean, the facilities included a kettle, glasses, a hair drier and some other little things, that made us feel home.
Next morning we went to Meteora, while Stefania prepared for us all the necessary information about bus schedule, rates etc. As we returned exhausted after intensive trip to monasteries, Sofia kindly allowed us to take a shower and gave offered a complimentary ice-cream and traditional Greek coffee. We were as much surprised as pleased to experience such a profound and sincere hospitality. We enjoyed a conversation with Sofia and then Stefania gave us directions how to get to the next place.
Last but not least, the rates were among the lowest we found in internet, so I am convinced that this was our best value deal throughout the whole trip around Greece so far.
I would highly recommend this place for couples and families and those who want to enjoy quality for relatively low rates.

Everyone should have a visit to the extraordinary Meteora monasteries on their bucket list, and the Sofia Rooms are an inexpensive option. The little garden is charming. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable.Although well set back from the road, it can be a little noisy during the day, but there is little traffic at night. The welcome was friendly. There is reliable wi-fi in the rooms, TV, air con, fridge and kettle.

Sofia Rooms was a great place to stay in Kalambaka. The rooms are a few minutes walk from the centre of town, which I liked. My room #2 overlooked a small patio in the back and was very quiet. Everything worked great... fridge, TV, A/C. The bathroom was functional and clean, as was the room itself. The bed was a bit on the hard side but that didn't bother me. Firm pillows were awesome. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting a lot and was pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again.

Easy to find and close to restaurants, the train station and a supermarket. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator. We liked the sitting area outside of the building with a nice open air kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful. Perfect for a short stay near the wonderful monasteries.

Easy to find on main route, near Lidl and train station, enough parking, pleasant room equipped to standard, friendly efficient hostess, good location for exploring the outstanding Meteora monasteries which adjoin the town.

Large room with comfortable beds and beautiful private patio. Very clean. Shared outdoor kitchen with kitchenware. A few minutes walk to the centre, opposite the Lidl market and the petrol station. Right next to the bus stop to the monasteries at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The host was very friendly, overall a great experience with good value for money. I would highly reccomend!

Location is perfect, close to almost everything
Room are simple but wery clean and comfortable.
Since we only spent the night , we are very pleased with the comfort and location. Lidl 's across the street.
