We had a wonderful experience staying in the camping pods, which were very comfortable and not too cold, despite the weather. We got a great viewing of the northern lights from the campsite on both nights of our stay.

This place is not the Ritz - not even a Holiday Inn Express. However, it's clean and comfortable - only six rooms. Try getting a room facing the street, as you'll have a view (the street is quite a distance from the hotel - no noise). The bathroom was very nice, as it looked fairly recently updated. Each room has...

My 20 year old son and I stopped here for the night on our trip around the Ring Road. The rooms in the guesthouse are nicely appointed with everything you might need - glassware, plates, microwave and refrigerator. Very clean and comfortable. Binni was quite lovely when we checked in, providing dinner recommendations and making sure we were aware of...

The cottages are very nice and charming: unfortunately The heater didn't work very well and it was very cold. The owner is very nice but The place seriously need redecoration + new supplies for the kitchen. Right now you cannot basically cook anything: only microwave and coffee machine.

We stayed in the loft cottage (sleeps 4) and it was a lovely, homely stay. Not too much to do in the area but it met our needs perfectly for a stopover from Hofn to Lake Myvatn. Found the cottage very clean and cosy, and the bed was comfortable with good quality linen. We also had satellite tv and it...

We had two separate camping pots for the four of us. The exterior looks very nice but it is very disappointing inside! It was quite cold (just a little heater to switch on), with little space and no possibility of cooking, not even boil some water. We had to climb up a stony path to get access to water, toilets...

I stayed in guesthouse 5. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was great (and private!) and Binni was very helpful with suggestions for dinner in the area as well as ideas for the remainder of our Iceland trip. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed one night in one of the pods a couple of weeks ago. SERVICE: we arrived very late, at around 2am and the gentleman who I assume was the owner was very helpful despite it was the middle of the night. He also offered we could check out late as we arrived so late. It was appreciated. POD: it...

The room was clean, but lacked the charm of other guesthouses that we had stayed in. Reminded me of a motel room. Had a hot pot and place to sit outside. The host was very helpful with things to see and places to eat.

We stayed (family of five) in the cottage and had plenty of space. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and stores were within walking distance. It's a good place to stop when transitioning from southeast Iceland to the north.
