The weather is pretty wet but we're really enjoying our stay here for 3 nights. You can see the steam coming from the ground everywhere. Breakfast was a treat, so much to choose from. The local town has a variety of restaurants, yes it's expensive...More
What a way to steal away for the weekend and unwind. Our room had balconys which I thought was very nice. The hot tubs, pool and the small spa are geothermally heated and it is truly magnificent sitting outside in the tub after hiking around...More

Have a lovely day!
We loved this hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the setting nice, beds comfortable, and the free breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Yummy and interesting. (The room was on the small side, but not a problem)

Enjoy the rest of your stay in Iceland
This was the first hotel we stayed at during our 10 nights in Iceland, and it just didn't live up to my expectations based on the price. We found the door to our hotel room to be really hard to open, close, and lock, and...More
We were booked into the Frost and Fire Hotel when our original hotel became overbooked at the last minute. We were welcomed by a charming fully furnished room with a gorgeous view of the river and hills right by. Although it was raining my husband...More

The easiest way to get here from the airport is to take a taxi but of course that is also the most expensive way. We have a fixed price with a local taxi driver, with him airport transfer costs 27.000 ISK. You can also take the local bus from the airport to our town of Hveragerði. The bus stops 15 minutes ( walking) away from our hotel, webpage: straeto.is and bsi.is
You can also contact Iceland activities, a local tour operator. I know they pick people up from the airport but unfortunately I do not know how much it might cost. You can contact them directly trough their webpage: icelandactivities.is
You could also check with grey line the bus company, they used to have buses that stopped in Hveragerði, their webpage is: grayline.is
