I recently stayed at Hotel Ork and despite it being an attractive building from the outside the bedrooms were a little dated. I had the worst nights sleep I had ever had. The bed was far too soft, the pillows far to big and lumpy and the bottom sheet was coarse and uncomfortable to lay on. The bathroom was small...

You enter the hotel to nicely decorated and modern reception area, but the rooms are a different story. We stayed in the superior double on the 4th floor which was clean and well turned out the only let down is the dated decor and a bathroom straight from the 1970s. Although described as a double it is in fact 2...

Arrived around lunchtime, though the staff pretty strict on check in time, so walked around the town. Room was a bit 80s, and probably could be spruced up, though had a good spread of tv channels, and was OK for 3 people in the room. We ended up staying 3 nights here, as a base outside of Reykjavik, to allow...

Clean and comfy. We enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed. the decor could use a little freshening, as it speaks to the 80s when the hotel was built. Our post teen kids took advantage of the pool and hot tubs and said they were quite lovely. We all ate a big breakfast and had plenty to choose from -...

Large clean perfectly equipped room overlooking the golf course, not many golfers out, but the oystercatchers were fun to watch! Didn't use the hot tubs or the swimming pool with waterslide, although the children seemed to be having a wonderful time, slightly worried about health and safety because there didn't seem to be anybody on duty. Food, both for the...

We stayed here while doing the Golden Circle Tour. Our room was pleasant, bright and comfortable with a nice view over the golf course. In the morning we shared the dining room with a large group of visiting students, but were able to serve ourselves from the ample buffet style breakfast table and although not lavish in choices, it was...

Certainly an unusual combination of nice room with awful food. Both breakfast and our dinner in the restaurant were the worst experienced during our 2 weeks in Iceland. The unusual combinations of flavours made every course poor. The best feature of the hotel was the games room, great fun. I cannot recommend.

Fantastic location, just off the main road. Great facilities, the pool, hot tubs and sauna were fab after being out walking all day! Spacious rooms, furniture slightly dated but very clean and tidy. Nice restaurant and bar with great food and make sure you take advantage of happy hour as drinks in Iceland are expensive. Friendly staff, very helpful and...
