My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights on our self drive tour and found it to be really good. The location was stunning and the hotel was nice, clean with a decent sized room for the 3 of us. We found it to be a good location for exploring further East towards the Jokulsarlon Lagoon and Svinafellsjokull...

We stayed for an overnight. Staff was friendly and room was clean & comfortable. We did have dinner - recommend the chicken pasta and lamb! Reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning had a decent continental selection. Good location for site seeing.

Don't expect too much and you will be satisfied with the location and the staff of the hotel. The best aspect is the restaurant that although pricey, serves tasty and fresh food. The breakfast is average for Icelandic standards.

Hotel Geirland is a perfectly acceptable hotel and served as an ideal base to see the Jokularsen Glacial lagoon. The beds are comfortable and there was more than enough space in our room to accommodate 3 single beds. The food from the restaurant is quite expensive for what it is, but then you're in Iceland. I would stay here again,...

New, modern, big room in beautiful setting. Tour company picked this place. Perfect location on our ring road tour. Horse farm nearby and of course a spectacular waterfall. Excellent dining with full breakfast.

The pictures show the basicness of the accommodation. We were not in one of these prefab cabins but in the "main building". Relatively simple motel type accommodation but perfectly acceptable for one night and, by Icelandic standards, not too expensive. Room was small but clean and comfortable and the shower was good. We arrived in the dark (beware - the...

The plus about this hotel was that it was a relatively easy driving distance from Skaftafell and it was surrounded by waterfalls and beautiful countryside scenery. The hotel itself felt like it had been constructed in modular office containers and the rooms had a bit of a dormitory feel. Breakfasts were adequate. The staff was nice and there were additional...

We only stayed in Hotel Geirland for 1 night during our recent road trip to south Iceland. It was a decent hotel with cute cottages and friendly staff. The only bad experience was with the breakfast. Although the breakfast was until 10 AM at 9 AM there was nothing left to eat. I asked from staff to fetch something on...

I booked thru booking.com and got the double rooms for around 130usd give or take. For that price with private bathroom and in Iceland that's pretty decent. Location: Good stop before proceeding the next day to the Skaftafell Park. Lovely scenery around it. Room: Spacious, very clean and aromatic. All in all one of the best rooms we had while...

As you can see from photos, the place is one of those pre-fab looking buildings and the room was rather Spartan-looking as well. And yes, it was almost $250 per night, which is too high. But the room was the largest one that we had during a week in Iceland and the shower and bathroom were also spacious and worked...
