This village had a neat history with Catholic nuns and a beautiful waterfall but the hotel itself was very basic. The bed and carpeting was a little threadbare. The bathroom and shower were large and clean. Overall seemed understaffed, although I was there during shoulder season, almost into low season.

The location was strange but needed as we had excursions booked near bye. The food was good but nothing exceptional. Rather plain. The rooms were well cared for, plain, comfortable. Have the staff had good service skills and half again were not welcoming or attentive. There is nothing in the town to draw you there but it has a wonderful...

Had a decent stay here. It was clean with good working wifi and a nice breakfast. Staff were very nice. All in all it is a good place to stay. My only issue is that without blackout shades it was too light in the room with just the curtain. Unfortunately I'm a light sleeper so didn't get a good nights...

The hotel is a great product. Well located especially if you want to visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier and don't want to go all the way back to the capital. We were so amazing by the Glacier that we did not notice the time and when we left it was already passed 9pm. We did not find anyplace to eat and...

Modern hotel (we stayed in the obviously new build rooms). All fine, nice dinner restaurant and a decent breakfast. Although a lot of guests arrived at one time, staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here one night on our way around Iceland and from check in to check out the staff were very lovely. We had dinner at the hotel and yes it is pricey but was also very delicious and breakfast had to be up there as one of the better ones we had with lots of variety. Would definitely stay...

Stayed here for one night as part of our Honeymoon. The staff were absolutely sensational. Once they found out it was our honeymoon they organised a special surprise for us, which was very generous but very much appreciated. We ate dinner and breakfast - both were to a very high standard. The hotel offers an "opt in" wake up call...

This hotel is pretty basic, but in a good location for traveling to Skaftafell and the glacier lagoon. We also saw the Northern Lights while we stayed here... so incredible!! They will send you a courtesy call if the Northern Lights are spotted. My only recommendation would be to update the bathrooms.. the shower is tiny!

We stopped for one night on a tour around Iceland. The reception staff was very nice and friendly, we got a good size room with all amenities and free wifi. The restaurant served full menu with limited but good choices. Staff was friendly and fairly professional at dinner. Breakfast was the low point of the experience, both selection and service....

The dinner is so frightingly expensive, and at the same time so terribly bad. Soup of the day was Ok, but the burger was just bad. And the potato wedges had clearly been frozen and heated up again too many times. Overall an Ok hotel. They seem to be freshing up some parts of the hotel and that looks nice....
