Stayed here for a night in this hotel. It's located slightly off the main road, but you probably won't miss it too much as there was a huge 2016 lighted up along the way in. A small super market was located 3 mins away and there is a good restaurant located in the vicinity. If you wish, you have the...

staff was very friendly ! rooms are clean and moderately sized. The breakfast buffet was tasty with a nice selection. The best part was the complimentary call for the northern lights ! There was some construction in Nov 2016, but it didn't get in the way of our stay or comfort.

Icelandair Hotel Klauster is an Icelandair chain hotel, which along with Foss hotels, seems to be the big chains in Iceland. Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton have not landed in big numbers yet, but there are a few in Reykjavik. This is the first hotel we’ve stayed in that reminds us of the modern American style hotels. Big lobby, sort of...

We did a stop over at Icelandair Hotel Klaustur during our road trip covering south Iceland. My wife had indicated that it was our honeymoon during the booking and we were given mini champagnes and chocolates in our rooms. Furthermore, the hotel offers to wake guests up for Northern Lights if the conditions are good. The room was nice and...

We stayed here during our honeymoon and we're thoroughly underwhelmed with our experience. When we arrived our room was severely overheated, and when we asked for a fan they said there were none available. We were told to get to breakfast around 9am to accommodate a large group in the hotel, but when we arrived there was no food left...

Visited in Oct. 2016 and they're in the middle of renovations. Regardless, the hotel is definitely nice enough, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is quite good. Klaustur is a very small town with few dining options, so the hotel also can serve this purpose if you're looking for a nicer meal than pizza (which is really the only other good...

This hotel has a good location. You can walk out the door and begin hiking up the hills near the waterfall. The rooms are simple, but clean and spacious. Good beds, and a good shower. Nice staff who gave us some good local information.

When we arrived to the room, the room had two single beds although I requested a double size bed room. The person at reception immediately fixed the problem. We reserved a table for dinner and a table at the window was already reserved at the reserved time, and we enjoyed the dinner, which was excellent. Only negative point at the...

Rooms and hotel were nice and clean. The walls too thin, but thats the only thing that was of a lesser quality. Bfast was ok, no remarks what so ever, dinner was very good Nice little outdoor (heated) swimming pool around the corner. Very enjoyable. There' a waterfall at walking distance (visit it by at night-there's light-very special!) When you're...

Comfortable beds, great breakfast buffet and restaurant, friendly staff. The reception staff were informative and offered a northern lights wake up call and it was near enough to dark sky areas to be a able to see the northern lights from just 5 minutes drive.
