We arrived here after a day of driving around southern Iceland. A quick check in and we got to our room an even quicker change order clothes and we were in the hot tub with a beer. The room was large and Scandinavian in style. Very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service prompt...

Very kind and easy going staff this hotel resturant is under designed and the wine list isn't so great but the food tasted good service was wonderful and the breakfast was diverse and well organized, and kept stocked they have a very nice wood burning fire place that helps to set the mood in and around the bar lounge area...

First of all the hotel was very nice, big bathtub, heated floors, modern style, friendly staff, large tv, minibar in the room, perfect location, IKEA everywhere. We were friends traveling with a group and were excited to stay in one of the best hotels in Iceland. To be honest we did not feel we were getting the service we were...

The apartments were ideally located within the Golden Circle, secluded and peaceful with mountains as the backdrop. Although the property in approximately 7 years old the accomadation itself was incredibly comfortable, well maintained and very clean. We had a two bed appartment which had a seating area, two large bedrooms, tall fridge/mini bar, shower room as well as private hot...

An absolutely beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We stayed for 1 night as part of our long weekend, this hotel is wonderful. The staff are so helpful and make you feel so welcome as soon as you arrive. We were very lucky to be put in a house for the night and it was amazing, everything was so clean...

The hotel is about 75-90 minutes drive from KEF airport. The hotel quotes a one-way transfer at ISK 55000 (about $500 USD), and a taxi would be $250-$300. So a car is more or less mandatory if not on a tour that includes transportation. However with a car the location is good, and I was able to easily drive to...

Hotel Grimsborgir was in a fabulous location on The Golden Circle. We loved the seclusion of the hotel and its intimacy. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were well stocked. While the hot tubs were very accessible, we were there in late December in difficult weather so we chose not to use them. We also don't have photos...

My partner and I just checked out from a 3 night stay (spent previous 2 nights at Budir in Snaefellesnes). Some good and not so good points. Pros: * Good location for exploring the South Coast. * Hotel is clean. Rooms are well-maintained, bathrooms very clean. * Breakfast is very good, and included in the rate. * Nice coffee /...

We were 2 families with teens and kids from 9 yo. This was billed as a luxury hotel, more expensive than Hotel Ranga. Well, the only thing that wasn't made in Ikea was the bathroom appliances and the food. Really, I know Iceland's hotels are overall below international standard but to walk into a place that looks like an Ikea...

the location was excellent. We were a group of 5 - 2 families and they had us in.a 4 bedroom suite- which was in fact a beautiful luxury home with amazing views, outdoor access from almost every room, beautifully appointed, private and with a private jacuzzi. We used the private shuttle service a couple of times and it was great...
