We were delighted with this hotel - the food was excellent and well presented - it was a great venue for our first experience of the Northern Lights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and cosy. A great place to stay.

The hotel is well located for daytrips to key attractions. The staff is excellent -- cheery, professional, and helpful. It was lovely to wander the spacious grounds and enjoy viewing the horses after a day of touring about. Steamy outdoor hot-tub was inviting. The room was basic with dated furnishings and TV (TV didn't matter to us), and a pleasant...

We stayed here for one night on our tour of the Golden Circle. The hotel is quite remote but it has a great open view and without the light pollution I imagine a great place to see the Northern Lights (not whilst we were there though!) The reception was very welcoming and we had booked a family room - which...

Pros: Food was delicious, wifi was good, the lady at the front desk was super helpful, loved the horses outside the hotel, room was clean, nice hotel overall. Cons: Our room was in the basement, right under the front lobby so we heard people walking at all hours of the night, did not get a good nights sleep. If you...

Warm welcome and a fantastic family room for 4 people, more like a 2 room apartment, very spacious, modern decor and pristinely clean. Excellent breakfast with smooth jazz in the background:) Outdoor hot tub area is awesome as well, with change rooms, sauna, washroom, etc. - and we had it all to ourselves!

Hot tub is really awesome for watching northern lights Room was clean but personally i think it should be freshened up (especially bathroom) Informative staff, very professional waiter Giorgio but unfortunately meal wasn't specially good. Small portions and flavorless. Very good breakfast though - i really appreciate waffles and homemade cakes There is lounge bar with fireplace which is very...

We stayed in this hotel as part of a Nordic Visitor tour, and we all enjoyed the quaintness of the surroundings, with nice, thoughtful touches such as flowers adding colour to otherwise bland passage ways, and a good evening meal and reasonable breakfast. We found the rooms a little small, and the walls a little thin between them (and therefore...

This was a charming country hotel with very nice up to date rooms. The group dinner we were served was great-especially dessert! The breakfast buffet included waffles which has not been the case at other hotels. Coffee was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are driving through the Icelandic countryside.

Very quiet, rural hotel. It is a good thing the food is fine so you do not have to drive long distances for dinner. Breakfast is good too! The room is very basic but good enough. After all you will only sleep there! They have 2 hot-tubs and a steam-room. Free coffee and tea.

The location is excellent. I used it deliberately as a base from which to drive and You need a car, but you are within (sometimes well within) 2 hours drive of Vik, Keflavik, Reykjavik, geysir, gulfoss and Thingvellir. The hotel is ageing. The rooms are clean and perfectly comfortable but not young. The bed was comfortable. A very old TV...
