A very pleasant hotel overlooking the river. Warm, welcoming, helpful staff. We had a spacious, warm, comfortable room. Super breakfasts with a vast choice. Happy hour at the bar at 4pm each day. Received a complimentary voucher for the Spa which was very welcome and relaxing after a long day out.The hotel is close to the town with shops and...

Like many people, we stayed here for a couple of nights as part of an island tour. It has the feeling of being like a business hotel; nothing charming about it although the views were stunning. We had a few strange experiences here. When we checked in we were told (jokingly) that we'd have t fight over who had which...

Stayed at the Hotel Selfoss as part of a four night break with Snaeland Grimmson (would recommend this company), which we booked through Secret Escapes. Stayed two nights in Reykjavik and two nights in Selfoss. We arrived at the hotel in a snow storm, which was amazing. It was a very easy check in, all key cards were ready and...

We stayed two nights here. Ours was a disabled access room but we understand that other rooms were equally roomy. Beds were comfy, everything was kept neat and tidy. the dining room was traditional with white tablecloths. Breakfast buffet was good - with hot and cold food options. Our dinner was delicious and the service glitch was immediately acknowledged and...

The staff is friendly, or some staff.. I really liked the bartenders but not the waiters. They were not friendly, didn't even say good morning in breakfast. But the spa is really nice, and the food too! One thing that annoyed me was the builders that were working very early. They woke me up.

We enjoyed a two-night stay in November, 2015. The weather was brisk while we visited so after our first day of sightseeing we visited the spa connected to the hotel. The steam room, sauna, hot tub and ice rub station had us feeling relaxed and decompressed in no time and, even better, we had it all to ourselves. Had looked...

First impressions of this hotel are quite modern, clean & nice. Efficient check in despite having only booked 20 mins earlier online. Our room was ok; nowhere near as clean as our hotel in Reyjkavik but bearable, in need of updating though to become as modern as the rest of the building. Guests can use the adjacent Riverside Spa for...

We spent two nights at this hotel as part of our tour of Iceland. Check-in was quick and straight-forward. We were delighted to be allocated a room with a river view (even numbered rooms.) The room was very spacious and comfortable, although starting to look tired. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, as was an in-room safe and the...

We stayed just one night in late December. We had booked through an agency (Iceland Unlimited) so check in was very straight forward. Room was very spacious and they had an extra bed for our daughter. Breakfast buffet was varied, plentiful and tasty. we had dinner in the restaurant and although the service was very slow, the staff were very...
