This guest house and leisure centre is more like a hostel. Rooms are old, tired shabby and in need of an update and a good clean. The carpet in our room was filthy. On arrival at around 5pm we were directed to our room down a corridor with no lighting. I returned to reception as could not see numbers on rooms....

I stayed here recently with my sister for a family get together as the local hotel was full & we needed a bed in Newbridge . I would not rate it three stars at all . On arrival we were greeted at reception by a young guy wearing a football jersey which is not really reception attire ! The entrance...

Loved the two days spent here recently. The room looked out over the Liffey River snd was right next to Linear Park. The Leisure Centre is fantastic and the staff were brilliant. The other guests seemed as content as me, some wonderful conversations had in the sauna. Breakfast was cooked to order, it was fresh and filling. Large room at...

We stayed for 3 nights and had two rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was great and we really enjoyed the leisure centre. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. It's also great value. We will be back!

A quick stopover with husband and kids, a roomy room, lovely swimming pool, kids had a great time, helpful young man at reception , and with my fussy eaters, we were well catered for at breakfast time - clean plates all round..

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night. Room was not clean. Wardrobe door broken. Carpet dirty. Windows had mould on them. Bathroom dirty. Very shabby. Would not recommend this to any of my friends

Just called in this afternoon to ask about B&B prices, as I need to stay a few nights a week in Newbridge. Person on the desk was talking to someone on his mobile about football at the weekend, despite 2 people waiting. I won't be staying there!

Just seeing reviews and want to absolutely disagree with certain reviews. My husband and I stayed there last weekend for 2 nights. I found all staff very polite, welcoming and very helpful. We both had a super breakfast on both mornings nothing to much hassle as my husband is a ceoliac and dietary requirements met. It has a super leisure centre...

Having stayed in The Gables a good few times before. It was always grand. You got what you paid for. This time is different. It's 00.54 Ive just gotten to my room and the 1st thing that hit me is the smell of chlorine and smelly feet, in my bedroom, I'm number 11, 1st floor. The room stinks, stinks. I...

“We stayed in the newer part of the hotel to the back of the Breakfast Room (5 rooms out of the 6 available) so it was reasonably quiet. Corridors can be dark in this part of the hotel so ask Reception to make sure they put the lights on for you if it is the evening.”
