Stayed at the Oystercatcher for the weekend while in Carlingford. The rooms are small and outdated - shower door is broken, sink cracked and had to rinse the shower free of hairs before getting in. Room is decently equipped though - little fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a toaster. As mentioned on the booking site, Carlingford is fairly lively...

Great comfortable stay, roomy airy room with all the usual room facilities. Nice touch was the chocolate biscuits. Bed very comfortable and the Lodge is so central for all that Carlingford offers. Likely to return.

Took us in at very short notice due to a mix-up with a booking elsewhere. Our room was clean, comfortable and good value. I got the impression (although I didn't confirm this with the owner) that quite a lot of work has been done recently to upgrade and maintain the rooms. Location also ideal, of course, so thoroughly recommended.

Rooms require makeover and updating. Light bulb not working. No breakfast included. Bed only at €80 is expensive. Better value and quality in other b&b in Carlingford. I passed on my opinions to owners son who dismissed all of my feedback.I will not return nor recommend The Oystercatcher. 눇Comfortable and clean bed. Good power shower.

Stayed at the lodge for two nights and was very pleased with the room. Rooms are big, clean...and we were very pleased with the nice big comfy bed to fall into after long days of exploring! Will be staying here again on our next trip very soon

Located in the middle of town. Perfect to get to everything. What didn't you like? We arrived on the evening, the owner let us into the room which was directly on the road. The room was specious. We looked around & to our horror we found loads of spider cobwebs all around the roof and ceiling and around the front...

We stayed here for a couple of nights in September. Friendly owner, comfortable well equipped rooms, and great for local bars and restaurants. We drove down from Belfast airport - about 80 minutes; gather it's about the same up from Dublin. Next time well take our walking boots - hiking trails direct from the door!

We had booked here before we had read a scathing review about no reservations, however our trip couldn't have been better. The owner was friendly & more than helpful. It's right in carlingford centre, so close to all the great pubs. We stayed in room 8, it was basic but the beds were really comfortable, the towels White & fluffy!...

Thank Frasmy
