Under no circumstances would I advise anyone to stay in this hotel. It's a direct provision centre which houses asylum seekers who sit around all day doing nothing other than smoking and intimidating potential customers. This is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever been in, and I would advise everyone to stay well clear.

I stayed at the Treacys Hotel for 1 week. with a large number of friends from across Europe. It had everythinbg we needed; a room for the night, a car park, a bar and restaurant which offered a variety of drinks and a varied menu and friendly staff thoroughout the hotel. It was great for our needs. You need transport (or a taxi) to get to and from here as it is outside the town of Carrickmacross. If I were to be looking for accommodation with my wife, instead of my friends, I would be staying in the centre of Carrickmacross where there is evereything you need within walking distance.

The smell, the food , the service. The smell is horrendous. The food was bland and cold. The waitress was clueless and the glasses were dirty as was the table. Housekeeping obviously dont have standards.

OMG. is all I can say. Went on golfing trip with 14 guys and partners. Stayed in Treacys hotel. The min u walk in the door your welcomed with this fusty smell.. Reception is so unfriendly. Rooms were filthy, carpet looked as if their was a farmers mucky wellie convention on before we arrived. The amount of flys on the walls, cobwebs, dust.etc got a drink at the bar at one stage there was a fly having a sip out of my G and T. All in all Wont be ever going back.
