Came here with my family for lunch on Friday. I asked for a medium rare steak and my wife had the fried cod. My wife's fish was over cooked but she didn't want to complain. When my steak came out it was well done and tough. I told the manager and she said she'd inform the chef. That was as... More

This is a warm and cosy bed and breakfast. The lounge has a lit fireplace every night & a bar serving drinks. Very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a fair size and there is plenty to eat at breakfast.

On first impressions, this place is beautiful. It's a fabulous old stone building situated right in the heart of the town. It's spotlessly clean, and you definitely get a sense of welcome when you walk in the door. That sense of welcome was confirmed by the Bean an tí who greeted us. The entire place was spotless, well kept and... More

It's was my first time to stay at Gleesons. Rooms are beautifully appointed with furniture befitting a country house. It makes you feel like home away from home. Great location in the centre of town. Mr & Mrs Gleesons & staff are wonderful host. Breakfast in the morning is delightful, the best homemade scones in Ireland. Keep up the great... More

I visited Gleeson's Townhouse on Wednesday October 5 for lunch. I have been to Gleeson's Restaurant on previous occasions. I ordered a roast chicken meal for lunch. The standard of food presented was excellent, including the selection of vegetables. There was a nice atmosphere in the dining area. Most tables were full or near full capacity which is a positive... Pleasantly surprised with this B&b seemed more like a hotel than a guesthouse as was quite big. Room was perfect bathroom especially pretty with its beautiful wallpaper. Bar & restaurant also unexpected as I didn't think a guesthouse would have a bar restaurant. Had a lovely meal in the evening and brekky was lovely too. Staff were lovely from arrival,... More

A very pleasing and comfortable place to stay. It has good food and is reasonable value for money. They did fall down a bit when the hot water failed and we had to boil kettle in room to wash; whilst profuse in apologies there was no offer of compensation such as have a drink on us or reduction in room... I recently stayed here for a group outing, was greeted on arrival by Eamon and Mary, made feel very welcome, while waiting to be seated for our meal we were offered drinks, there was a range of craft beers available along with the usual stuff, had a meal in the restaurant and it was beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful,...
