Its located right in the middle of the town, theres enough parking out the back for all its guests, and Roscommon castle and the town park which includes a playground is located a 5 minute walk away. The interior of the building is very grand, and theres a turf fire right inside the front door burning throughout the day which...

booked an executive suite as we were going to the races - fantastic room and facilities - friendly staff who gave us complimentary tickets to the races (saving us 26 euros) - great Irish breakfast too - was a bit noisy above the bar initially when we went to bed but all in all a great hotel and would recommend

My mother and I stayed at Gleeson's Townhouse for three nights in May, and I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone. The townhouse itself is centrally located in Roscommon Town, a short distance from the castle, with a good-sized private car park in the rear. Our twin room was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious, and so were the...

When shown to our room on arrival it was on the opposite side of the building than the previous visit and differently situated so we asked Eamon could we change rooms, this request was actioned...

A last minute decision to visit a town with family ancestry led us to stay at Gleesons. We got a very reasonable rate and stayed in the annex which was just 2 doors down the road. A very spacious room with a comfortable bed although all in all quite basic; This didn't put us off one bit. The area is...

After making a booking for one night in Gleeson's Townhouse with Eamonn I was really looking forward to our stay due to his natural hospitable manner on the phone. However when we arrived the Townhouse seemed to be a little bit under pressure with the young girl checking us in unable to locate our key. The room itself was fine,...

Dear A Codd . .First of all I want to apologise for your disappointment with breakfast service on Monday morning. You are correct. It was chaotic .Literally what happened that morning was a classic version of Murphy’s law .”If it can go wrong it will go wrong “ Our supervisor fell on the way to work at 8.30 am ,...

We arrived late at night and were exhausted. They set out tea and scones for us, no charge. Very comfortable room. Very warm and welcoming. Great food in the morning. Great location to see the town and surrounding areas.

We stayed as a family of 4 very last minute and the man we dealt with was extremely friendly, chatty and knowledgable of the local area. The guest house is lovely with a gorgeous open fire. We attended a christening here and the food was lovely and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and is in the...
