Travelling independently, our week's stay overlapped the Newmarket Tours stay of other reviewers. Without the aid of Caroline, their representative, communication with the hotel staff was nigh well impossible. Many thanks to her for help on several occasions. Booked 3 twin bedded rooms on-line September 2015 for April 13th - 20th 2016. On arrival, about 4pm, just left to find...

Completely agree with the review from Norwich...we were on the same trip. The hotel is bog standard 3*. Clean, spacious enough rooms and friendly staff. However, no safe in the room, no tea and coffee making facilities and poor wifi. The breakfast was very basic...couldn't get a decent hot drink and we resorted to tinned fruit and a bowl of...

Having booked this holiday through Newmarket, after two earlier Newmarket holidays in Spain and Italy that were both very enjoyable, imagine my utter disappointment at what was to unravel in this hotel. First I would like to put on record, that the tour representative was first class, being very knowledgeable, a Spanish speaker, and who made every effort to make...

I concur with previous reviews on this site that the hotel is in a great location being within easy walking distance to the centre of the lovely old town of Antikaria, unlike the other 4* Hotel Golf used by Newmarket Travel that is situated in a commercial/residential area on the outskirts of town, requiring a taxi ride into the town centre....

Starting with good points? The hotel is within easy walking distance to the city sights, restaurants and tapas bars. The rooms are good size, with flat screen. The bathrooms have the relevant facilities and are what you would expect of the modern hotel. On the minus side? Airconditioning didn't work for the duration of my visit. The first night of...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with my sister (Heather S of Norwich) and her husband on a Newmarket tour of Southern Spain and would like to reiterate the comments on her review. My room was dark and depressing compared to hers as it only had one window and that was after changing it from one that had...

This Hotel caters mainly for events, meetings and big Spanish family occasions. It was soulless inside and the dining room was cold and unpleasant. In the many years I have travelled I have never experienced such a dreadful, unhygienic and inedible breakfast. I will not dwell on this matter as Newmarket Travel will be hearing from me but if you do book...

We choose this hotel because of location( offered choice of two with a Newmarket holiday package). It was close to walk into lovely Antequera, this town itself deserves a mention as pretty, castle, churches galore, great views etc. The hotel was suitable for our needs but was far from the standard of hotels we normally stay in. We do not...

It’s hard to know what to say in addition to other reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel. peter J of Newcastle says it all in his review in October 2015 ‘Fawlty Towers in Spain?’ Our group consisted of around 38 souls and like others, we had considered whether to upgrade and stay at the 4 star Antequera Golf Hotel....

The hotel room the we stayed in could benefit from a coat of paint and the smell of the drains in bathroom needs attended to. The evening meal in the dining room would have been better if it was hot instead of lukewarm although the tapas etc in the bar was OK. Although the staff were accomodating, this was let...
