I hate doing a negative review but my experience is maybe due to Covid restrictions looking at previous reviews. This was unfortunately not my experience. I emailed before we arrived party of 4. They gave us a complimentary upgrade and side sea view. Really happy at checkin. Rooms were really clean and great views. They also gave us an interconnecting room so again a happy customer. Coffee shop closed sports bar closed and bar on balcony closed. This meant the reception bar was always busy at night waiting for a drink. On more than one night it was a 40min wait. Can’t fault the staff as they were run off their feet. The bottom pools didn’t open until 10am and seen the queues of people waiting. Staff at the adult pool again run off their feet. I read the reviews and we were all inclusive so yes I made sure I had my all inclusive drinks going into the specialist restaurants. Waiter asked my daughter if she wanted water which was €5 extra. Beach bar at the bottom pool now here’s the information I wish I knew and I read the reviews. Beach bar on the right is the all inclusive area and your food is boxed as in pizza is in a pizza box. Beach club on the left hand side you pay for everything. You DO NOT get the €30 per person discount here. Thankfully our bill could have been so much worse if we didn’t take our drinks in. This restaurant you had to book but they piled in on specs so it wasn’t a quick lunch. Stung for €175 and that was just main courses. Their entertainment was repeated and we were only there for a week. Just a singer or guitarist that was not on for long. Just felt everything was extra and for the amount of money I paid for the holiday it really wasn’t value for money. I get your paying for the name. I found the food in the main restaurant to be lukewarm not hot and looking at review video footage that’s not what we saw when we went to the restaurant. The new year celebrations was shocking. I expected the stage to be opened but no we were all crammed into the reception area which made us feel so uncomfortable we spent the bells in our room. You could spend just under €500 per person to attend a new year dinner which was held in their function room. Other tables were set outside the reception with a DJ. They gave out plastic bags with grapes and hats in it. We had complimentary passes for a 2hr spa pass but it was not for my daughter who was 17 because she was not classed as an adult. We could however pay €25 to get her in. Forced into paying it as we couldn’t leave her outside. We had on more than one occasion charges to our room that wasn’t ours. Frustrated as they were insisting it was our charges. They credited €15 for my 17 year old although I was told at reception on day 1 that over 12 you get €30. Did spend way more time at reception than I was happy with. Food was bad and we did go for an Indian meal across the road which I would recommend Mumbai. All 3 specialist restaurants was excellent as the food was hot and freshly made couldn’t fault it. The cabanas around the pools you have to spend money to buy drink but not value when your all inclusive. Don’t get me started on the elevators!!! The amount of people who tried to squeeze in was shocking. The staff tried their best to continually tell people to wear a mask but you could see the staff were just exhausted and some customers aggressive. A massive thankyou goes to Guillermo Cana benito the customer care manager who when he got involved the Problems were sorted as much as he could. Overall I just felt everything was extra even soda water!!! Food wasn’t great especially for a 5 star establishment. I did suggest massive signs OUTSIDE the elevators. Maybe looking at the videos I would recommend this place but certainly not during Covid times and from my experience. Sorry it’s a long review but hope it helps someone not getting stung like we did.

This was our third time staying at the HR hotel Tenerife. The first time was great, 2nd time not so great….3rd time was simply amazing! So amazing that we have actually booked to go again in early December this year! We booked our September stay originally for November 2020, however lockdown obviously changed this! In the end, we had to move our booking 3 times and the HR team were great with sorting this for us. We stayed on an All Inclusive package, Rock Royalty and I have to say I don’t think we could stay at this hotel on anything less. When we arrived at reception, we were whisked off to the Rock Royalty check-in on the 13th floor, our luggage was taken (waiting for us in our room on arrival) and we were offered a seat whilst they checked us in. It didn’t take much time at all, even with the Covid-19 checks. The lady just took photocopies off our documents and that was that. The only thing I’d possibly add to the check-in… which so many other 4 & 5 star hotels do…..is offer a drink whilst checking in, such as Cava or flavoured water. Most people have had a long journey to the hotel and I just think this would be a lovely touch. We were taken to our room on the 15th floor and given a tour, we stayed in a RR suite which was absolutely amazing. It had a separate lounge, plenty of storage with 2 wardrobes, a Jacuzzi bath, 2 toilets, 2 TV’s, an X-box, Bose speaker and towels for the pool. The room was cleaned daily at the perfect time whilst we were at the pool and there was also a turn down service. I had emailed the hotel prior to our stay mentioning it was my partner’s birthday and they said they would put balloons and a message in our room. Unfortunately, when we arrived this hadn’t been done but after contacted them again they quickly corrected this and we came back to a message, balloons and a bottle of cava in the room…..thank you again! We spent every day at the Eden pool which is adults only. We always managed to get a lounger, yes you do need to get there early-ish by around 10:30am to secure one but this is an improvement on a lot of other hotels! The bar staff at the Eden pool were great; in particular, Esteban looked after us from day one, he was always happy to help and would check on us to make sure we were always ok! The staff were constantly working hard and yes, it could take a little effort to place an order sometimes but this is through no fault of the staff that were working. Possibly management need to have a higher number of staff working in order to keep up with the demand from guests! We had lunch a few times at the Eden pool, which was great and saved going back to the room to get dressed for the Sessions restaurant. (Although I must say Sessions buffet restaurant is really good for dinner with lots of choice!). We also had lunch at the beach club a couple of times; the staff were also really good here. However, we were not overwhelmed by the food. It was okay but nothing too special considering the prices you would pay if you were not All Inclusive! We had dinner at the Sports bar a few times and this was actually one of our favourite places for dinner. They had a good choice on the menu and the atmosphere was relaxed but with a little buzz about it. We also had dinner at the Montauk, Narumi and Capolavoro. The Montauk had good food and great service, we only had to pay for drinks here because the All Inclusive package covered the food. Narumi was okay, the food was fairly average, the sushi was great but there was not a huge deal of flavour in the Thai curry, service was ok! Capolavoro, food was not great (the arrabiata that I had at the Eden pool was better than the one I had here) and service was average, so that’s one I wouldn’t necessarily recommend. The frustrating thing with having dinner at these ‘al a carte’ restaurants is that there are no drinks included for those with All Inclusive. If they just offered soft drinks, beer and house wine that would be all that you need, but instead you have to factor drinks into your allowance of 30 euros per person, which is a little frustrating as you do pay above average here for All Inclusive. We went to the main lobby bar a few times during our stay. The entertainment we saw was fairly good; in particular the guy playing modern music on a violin was great and a few of the singers were good too! It was difficult to get a drink sometimes but you would eventually get one without waiting too long! It could also be difficult to get a seat here and sometimes there didn’t seem to be much social distancing in this area at times as strangers crammed onto tables together. We visited the Spa on 2 occasions during our stay, I had a pedicure which was amazing on my first visit whilst my partner did the spa circuit and the 2nd time we both did the spa circuit. It’s a really chilled place to go….the only place to escape the music if you feel the need to and the snow room is a must, trust me! Lastly, the best part of this holiday was the Rock Royalty element! The staff could not do enough for you, in particular Alexia and Roxy in the lounge! The lounge is wonderful, you can have breakfast there instead of going to sessions, ‘rock your tea time’ (where you get drinks and cakes, what’s not to like!) and drinks in the evening…..all with a beautiful sea view. It was on the same floor as our room too, which was really handy! I also contacted the RR reception a few times during our stay for help with certain things (spa reservations, dinner reservations, plug adapter as I had forgotten mine), they always got back to me quickly, and had everything sorted. We originally booked to stay here for 7 nights, although we were actually in Tenerife for 10 nights and were meant to go on to another hotel. However, we were having such an amazing time that we decided to stay here for our last 3 nights. This was arranged very quickly by RR reception; we had to move to another room, as our room was already booked. We moved to a RR studio suite, the room was slightly smaller but still had plenty of space and was on the same floor as our first room, which was great! Another advantage of RR is they will do their best to give you a late check out until 3pm, which they did for us luckily as our flight wasn’t until the evening……thanks again RR  On our last night we visited the 16th bar for our complimentary glass of cava, it is definitely worth a visit to see the views! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is the Rock Royalty aspect and the staff at the Eden pool that make it special…resulting in me giving them a score of 5 out of 5. We look forward to seeing you again in December! PS: Apologies to the Eden pool staff and Beach Club staff for having to put up with some quite frankly rude and hostile English people at times……It was quite embarrassing to see, particularly the language being used sometimes and also no respect for staff re Covid-19 (why is it so hard to put a mask on when trying to order drinks at the bar????) I hope it’s only a small minority that behave this way towards you…..most English people know how to behave respectfully…...honest 

I can't understand how this hotel is rated 5 star and is still getting good reviews. Restaurant, sessions, the buffet restaurant is closed for lunch, the beach club, along with the main pool is closed, leaving a very limited choice at the splash pool, it's going to be a long time before I can look at another hot dog or a plate of nachos! The buffet restaurant is OK at best, I've seen a review where it's described as a banquet, whoever wrote that do yourself a favour and try a 5 star in Turkey where the rooms really are luxury and the food is way better. Entertainment consists of 1 performer doing an hour or so in the lobby. I'd probably not bothered to leave a review but this evening on ordering the first drink ( I'm all inclusive) the waitress asked if I wanted to tip her!!!! I've stayed in many hotels and never been put in that position. 10 minutes later she removed my glass even though I had half a bottle of coke on the table. (Mistake or revenge I'm not sure) tipping should be optional and at your own discretion and not made to feel awkward when you decline. We were made to feel uncomfortable and decided to have an early night. In conclusion I've stayed in better 4 stars in Gran Canaria and won't be returning and certainly would not recommend it

We, a family of four (4yrs+7yrs), had a wonderful time at the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. This was under COVID and the hotel was only 20% utilized. They had closed down some pools, but all the essential was open and there was plenty of space. All restaurants were open, but not at the same days. The kids loved the heated splash pool and the playground. A special thanks to Miriam, Carolina and especially Siri from the kids club for making this a special time. It was even possible to take the kids to spa as well. Also, a huge shout-out to Anita for the yoga classes and the aqua fitness. It was really fun. If you are into running then you can run by the waterfront all the way to the next city. It's beautiful and hilly. We only had breakfast included and that worked really well. We found the all inclusive too expensive as we are not drinking ten drinks a day by the pool anyway. And we love to go out i have dinner on the many great restaurants in the area. Especially La Libélula Playa Paraíso by the waterfront. We had three days with Calima (sandstorm from Africa) and it seemed like it was a surprise to the hotel. Like sunbeds was not secured and wind was blowing into the restaurants though the doors. As Calima is common on the Canary islands, one would have expected that they had more control of the situation. We will for sure come back to this hotel and can highly recommend it.

Suite was beautifully decorated with incredible ocean views and plenty of space. Staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Lola at the front desk and a couple other members of bar staff/waitresses that we didn’t get the names of (I think ones star name was Cyndi Lauper if that helps?) Would 100% recommend.
