My husband and I had just moved to Fribourg and needed a hotel for one night; luckily we stumbled across this hotel on TripAdvisor! We don't speak French, but when we wandered in off the street the day before checking in, the gal in reception understood enough English to communicate with us, which was very welcome. She had a room...

This little gem is right in the middle of the fun! While it is right in the "old city," it was quiet, comfortable, and a great price. We planned to stay one night but liked it so much, we stayed a second. The room was large, had two separate beds, a kitchenette (unfortuantely our stove/oven did not work while we...

The Hotel du Faucon is an easy walk from the train station, on a wide pedestrian only street. Great neighborhood, lots of shops and restaurants. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. There is an elevator which is nice for us tired, older folks. The room we had was very large with large windows that opened. There is a table...

the location on the main street, but our room had window to the garden so it was very quite there. the room is big and very conformable, has the big refrigerator, and even small kitchenette. so if you plan the small trip around Switzerland it will be the nice upgrade) we had not breakfast incl in our room so we...

The hotel is on one of Fribourg's pedestrian streets, just 5 minutes walk from the train station. Swiss cab fares being what they are, that's like a 25% discount off the room rate, which is already quite reasonable. Rooms small, but simply and tastefully decorated. Staff friendly. Reception about the size of a large Persian rug, but that's expected in...

In this day and age travellers should expect wifi to work unconditionally especially in a first world country. The connections went down in the middle of the night for two nights in a row, thus my low reviews. I felt I had no options but to change hotels. Otherwise this is a decent option in town. It is close enough...

Central location in pedestrian area. On street parking one street behind hotel free after 1830 or in nearby underground garage. Lift. Large room and bathroom with shower. Kitchen facilities in room. Plenty of nearby cafes for breakfast.

Small boutique hotel centrally located. Clean, comfortable. Loved the orange and yellow colors of the room...bright and cheery. Parked in an underground garage a short walk away. Stayed 4 nights and would certainly stay again.

Hotel du Faucon is located in the center of Fribourg, in a shopping street. We parked the car in a public P-garage called: des Alpes, a 5 min walk from the hotel. The room had a strange triangular shape, very awkward. There was even a full kitchen in the room. It all looked neat and clean. The elevator was outdated...

This little hotel is very well located in the pedestrian zone of the town, and the elevator up to the rooms was very convenient (not all Swiss hotels are equipped with elevators!). The breakfast wasn't worth the cost, but you could opt out. There was no safe in the room. The biggest problem for me was that they seemed to...

“Our room at the back of the hotel was nice and quiet.”

“I had a single room, number 51, which was fine for me, would be OK but tight for two people. The maids showed me the double rooms on the floor while they were cleaning which were better. All have mini-kitchens. Creative layout results in trapezoidal shaped rooms, which some have commented on negatively. I liked it.”
