Built in the mid-1500s, this beautiful Grade I listed Tudor manor has a truly unique story. History is literally on your doorstep: the stunning location has played host to occupying Romans, a Tudor tryst and even a Civil War army. The grounds contain an ornate Roman mosaic floor and settlement remains. Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour here, and the D-Day landings were planned within the house. England’s last remaining Cromwellian Chapel in a private house is also here, and the property offers many more historical jewels for you to explore at your leisure. All of this comes with outstanding service, delicious food in our spacious restaurant, live entertainment every night, and a host of activities from tennis to air-rifle shooting.

the whole experience was excellent - the food was a high quality and the suite in the courtyard stable was ideal. It was good to have the leisure pool as well. A special mention goes to the waitress Juliana - nothing was too much trouble and she was very friendly

Very clean hotel. Service was very good. Everyone so very friendly. Grounds were amazing particularly the roman site. gardens were lovely and so well kept. Food choice was exceptionally good and waiters so very helpful. I enjoyed my trip to Spa for massage and swim. Pity there was no transport on site to take you around, a golf buggy would have been great to hire. No taxis for hire so difficult to explore outside a courtesy bus provided by hotel would be great. Would have liked a fridge to keep medication in. A bottle of water to welcome us in room would have been a nice touch. This was my first visit to Warner's, I will book again.

First visit to Littlecote House was thoroughly impressed. We were a family of 3 so had 2 rooms in the historic house. Well worth the money we had the Jane Seymour room and the Stewart Room that was huge. Could not fault the food, it was fantastic and portion sizes were more than enough for us as it’s table service. Spa was good and the pool and staff were welcoming and very friendly. We booked the wine tasting but there were not enough people so George swapped us over to the gin tasting which was good and has opened our eyes to cucumber tonic water and Hendricks. Big thanks to Cristina who was our waitress for our 3 day break she was very attentive and her service was first class. Also James in the entertainment team stood out has a great voice. Overall it was a great experience. Just one downside and this was not her fault as she has a great voice but due to the age of us not many people had heard of Jess Glynn which as it was a tribute act fell a bit flat, but as I said she had a great voice but wrong type of tribute star? Certainly one that we will return to as it’s quite local too. A fantastic stay thanks to them all

We were in room 153 and the noise from above us was terrible creaking floor boards and somebody running up and down from 7.o’clock till 8.30 and 10.0 to 11.30 in the evening my neighbour went upstairs to check it out and a woman answered her door in work out clothes but it didn’t make much difference

Our stay at Littlecote House was an absolute delight. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful. Each of the meals were first class and Juliana, our waitress, was one of the best we have ever had. We loved the setting, the old house and the grounds were beautiful, with the remains of the Roman villa, with its breath-taking huge mosaic. We never used all the facilities or the evening entertainment, but would recommend this as a wonderful place to stay, and good value for money.

We had a fabulous 2 days 2-4 June. We as a very special treat booked the Henry V111 room and it was stunning, such a big room with tons of storage, the bathroom was something else the shower was like being in a rainstorm loved it. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Looking out of the windows on the first floor sat on the window seat was amazing. The food was the best we have had Warners for a while compliments to the chef, plates hot and food well presented. Just a personal point but I prefer to go to a buffet and choose how much I want to eat as I felt I wasted a lot as the plate was full. Breakfast was buffet so all good there. We joined in the archery and shooting and did the line dance class. The entertainment team (now called the theatre company) were all good fun we really enjoyed interacting with them. Sahara Blue who we only got to see on the first night did a great job of keeping us entertained. Jess Glynn impersonator Donna Ramsdale was brilliant kept us all entertained and was very personable. The Saturday night was the Oh Carol Neil Sedaka story both singers really pulled it out of the bag really enjoyed this even though I wasn't sure it would be our thing. All in all we had a great weekend and hope to return in the not too distant future.

This is our 6th Warner hotel. Having stayed multiple times at those closest to home. So glad this wasn't our first. This was totally different to all of our previous stays probably not helped by coming directly from Studley castle to Littlecote. Firstly I must say this wasn't an expensive holiday so we did temper our stay with that. I have wanted to see the Roman remains and mosaic in the grounds and that was our major driver. This hotel building was constructed in 1997 and it's layout is poor with just one lift column with two 8 person lifts at one corner of the building. The hotel aims towards much older people so it's very poor really. Our room was top floor and furthest away from the lift it took me and my health problems nearly 6 minutes to walk from the far side of the dining room to our room plus lift time despite it actually not being that far away but I could not climb four floors. Our room 442 was nice twin with an attic window and walk in shower. No Aircon but a desktop fan in the wardrobe. We use inflatable mattresses so beds are not an issue for us. We refused room service and a daily bag of top ups was left on our door which was really handy. A great idea. The grounds are mixed some well kept some neglected a hint at staffing we guess. But the areas outside were very uneven and dangerous in places. The pool was good as I had it to myself on the two times I used it. But it needs attention and updating and a jolly good clean. The entertainment was good a singer and a comedian both very entertaining but the room is old fashioned. It does not have allocated seating and is very crowded in some areas. The great thing about Warner is usually the food but this wasn't the case in Littlecote. It is served not buffet so choice can become a problem our servers pulled great faces when we requested changes to our chosen meal like no tomato or no peas. Maybe it was difficult to type into the iPad. Lots of items were changed from the menu and no white bread was available on one night. Coleslaw was shredded veg with no sauce? Warm dried up pork on ice cold noodles. All starters and desserts were plated when we arrived for dinner not sure how long for. But we ate early so definitely a few hours. The dining room is on multiple levels which either restricts people access or makes it difficult for many. We saw one person having great difficulty moving from their walking aid up steps. Remove two tables and put in a lift would open up the access and give more equality. Cater for your target audience surely. The coffee shop doing lunch and teas in Master George's sitting room in the House was lovely with very pleasant staff especially Joyce, what a lovely lady. We had problems with reception staff who were unhelpful. Once when we first arrived and our room key didn't work so a long trek back we were made to queue again instead of dividing guests who were trying to leave credit card details from the lots of people whose room keys wouldn't work, poor organisation to sort out the problem they were obviously experiencing. Then I asked later for help with my club warner level an issue easily solved at Bodelwyddan, Nidd, Thoresby and Studley. But not at Littlecote I was told to sort it myself with head office. Which I did but now much more reluctantly with such attitude. We absolutely loved the Roman mosaic and ruins and obviously the original house with wonderful access to both whenever you wanted and we would recommend the audio tour of the house. Generally Littlecote House is not for us but it has made us much more certain of what we do want in a Warner holiday. We will continue to use Warner as they meet our needs now but we will definitely check the ones we choose are appropriate for us and read more reviews next time..

The whole experience was very good and all aspects of the short break were very much up to expectations. Georgia our table waitress was so very helpful and friendly which together with first class food made mealtimes a real pleasure. The entertainers worked hard and showed a lot of talent.

Bedrooms ok, mattress and pillows quite hard. Food average, but the service from our waiter Piotr was excellent very friendly happy always smiling nothing was too much trouble for him, made our stay a happy one, if we come again would insist on sitting in his area of the dining room. Entertainment was good and lovely grounds.
