Nice pub, friendly owners. We stayed just the one night, a comfortable room, small, adequate bathroom with shower. Coffee and tea facilities (essential for me). A very comfy bed (twin room) and it was nice to have the heating on when we arrived. There are two rooms so the other may be a double. Breakfast was a bargain at £5 PP, full English which was excellent (and I'm fussy). Parking is available at the rear of the pub and the windows have secondary glazing in case anyone thought a pub on a busy road might be noisy. The noise of traffic was very minimal and I am someone who notices this.

After driving through country roads in the dark and the rain we arrived at the Sun. Our spirits were lifted by the log fire and the warm welcome from sue. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
