Given the excellent task to find mum somewhere for Mother's Day lunch as our daughter now lives in the south of England, we decided to drive towards Skipton from home having passed through Kirby Lonsdale we proceeded until we just happened on this lovely old inn and decided to stop for lunch. I'm glad we did as it was excellent...

After reading the recent bout of rubbish reviews we weren't particularly looking forward to our relaxing break away. However the experience we had was amazing. Hotel is beautiful, food was lovely, staff were friendly, place was very clean and spa facilities were lovely! Overall we were very happy with the hotel and enjoyed seeing all the dogs 🐶

Can't remember the last hotel I stayed in that didn't have a shower in the room. Our experience was consistent with other reviews here. The place had a Fawlty Towers experience feel to it, except this Basil was not nearly as endearing. Likewise when we asked about a taxi we were told, "it's not my job". I won't document the...

Firstly you have to remember this hotel is almost 400 years old! So is not flat, straight and has lots of quirks. The staff were fantastic could not have been more...

On arrival the place looked great as we drove into the car park. We were met by a youg man who gave us the room key. The room was a good size but a little tired. The hot tap was loose but that was no big deal. I noticed a pillow case was open and the pillow was a dirty...

Our room had no shower - had to run bath twice as first attempt had dust floating!! The barman who turned out to be the Manager (who dressed more like...

Booked a 2 night stay for 8th and 9th March 2017. When we arrived there was nobody in reception but the guest list was on the counter. I noticed that all the guests about 15 rooms were on a voucher like ourselves. The unsmiling owner came, asked our details, gave us a key and told us how to get to...

Staff were very weird, made us feel very uncomfortable by constantly staring at us. Receptionist didn't know anything when we arrived. Food was disgusting including breakfast. Music was played until late and we could hear it in our room. Constant leaking tap. Hotel was very dated and expensive. Never again!!!
