We have just had a wonderful return visit to this exceptional B&B. We had a lovely warm welcome & enjoyed great hospitality. Chrissie & Joe's attention to detail is outstanding. We had an ultra-clean room with really comfy beds & pristine bedding. Everything we needed was catered for, with some really thoughtful added touches. Again breakfast was delicious with such...

Stayed her for just one night last week with a friend. We had a superb twin room with the sparkliest en suite white bathroom, supplied with plentiful towels and toiletries from The Bath House. We both found the beds extremely comfortable, made up with high quality linens. Refreshment tray in the room with china mugs, chocolate biscuits and a wide...

I challenge anyone to find anything wrong with this b & b. Its was perfect!! Decor shabby chic greys and creams. Cleanest bathroom and bedrooms I've ever stayed in. (This includes intercontinentals in several countries.) The beds were very comfortable bedding crisp and clean and very white! Lots of quirky items in the rooms. Breakfast was outstanding, i didn't want...

This is one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. Chrissie and Joe made us feel so welcome right from the start, offering us tea & homemade cake on arrival – their hospitality is second to none. The attention to detail is like none we've seen before. Our room was lovely – newly renovated with expert finishing and...

What a find. This place is perfect, lovely location close to several pubs, eateries and quaint shops. Walks all over the place. Chrissy and Joe are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. So many little touches around the place make it such a special place. Bedroom very clean and well decorated, new beds too.

We were welcomed with coffee and home made cakes and then shown to a lovely room overlooking The Nine Standards. Breakfast was far superior to any other b +...

We can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can visit again. We were on 2 motorbikes and the secure off road, under cover parking was fabulous for us. Chrissie is a wonderful, wonderful host, a shame we missed hubby. Nothing is too much trouble but in a really homely way, not in a stuffy, hotel type way,...

My family and I stayed here on a weekend break to Kirkby Stephen. This place is more than a home from home. It is a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of the country. The hosts couldn't have made my family and I feel more welcome if they had tried. All of our needs were more than well met with...

After a recent visit to Kirby Stephen we stayed at Lockholme B&B which felt just like home. From arriving we were made to feel very welcome with the fire roaring and being offered tea and the most amazing cake. Perfect location for winter walking and Chrissie gave us lots of good advice of local walks. Rooms were modern, warm and...
