My husband and I have visited Seaham a couple of times a year over the past three or so years and have stayed at a variety of places in the area in and around Seaham. Eastshaw Guest House is definitely the best place we've stayed yet. It's owned and run by Mick and Julie who have to be the nicest,...

My family and I stayed in the cottage for a few days to attend a funeral. We found it exactly as Mick described, and then some!!!! It provided us with a real home from home at a difficult time. We enjoyed using the wood burner, it was such a comfort in the evenings, as we hosted other visiting family members....

I used to work with the owner Mick when we were officers in Durham Police. He recently invited me and my wife down for a visit and cup of tea. I was extremely impressed by his home. In a fantastic location on the Sea Front with excellent views. Anybody visiting our area would be over the moon to stay with...

St Cuthbert's Cottage is a beautiful, comfortable, calm, tranquil place to stay. We immediately felt at home and so did our dog. The location of the cottage in Dalton-Le-Dale is so beautiful. Very peaceful, with trees, a stream and birds coming to the bird table. Washing up was never a chore with that lovely view from the kitchen window! The...

I can not begin to express the level of satisfaction from our visit to Eastshaw Beach House. From the moment that Mick met us at the door until the moment we left, I truly felt welcome and at home. Breakfast was phenomenal, I suggest Mick's potato cakes, and his "loaf of the day', you will not be disappointed. Our morning...

Finding sea glass at Seaham was on the top of my daughter Lindsay's bucket list. She found Eastshaw Guesthouse through blogs on the topic. My wife and I travel internationally on a relatively regular basis an I can honestly say we have never had as wonderful a stay at any time in our lives. When we pulled into the driveway...

Phenomenal hospitality. Mick and Julie were gracious in making this a very special occasion. From the first welcome to best homemade breakfasts ever, to views in all directions of Seaham Beach- this is an amazing discovery. As a seasoned traveler, I can attest that Eastshaw Guesthouse exceeded all expectations.
