When we booked the trip we requested a contemporary room (they have contemporary or traditional) and we enquired about the children's creche, dinner reservations and spa facilities and were told to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Which we did.

Fantastic looking Hotel but let down by food and hygiene.

Lovely grounds,miles of area to walk with out two well behaved dogs. Shame they are not allowed off the lead anywhere!
But don't go out in the dark!, hardly any outside lights, quite dangerous, very difficult to see where you are going.

We stayed in a room called Amelia. It was a lovely room with a window seat over looking the Italian garden. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with any room you get. It's a lovely place with lovely staff. Enjoy your stay.
When we were there they offered picnics. We took ours down to the walled courtyard areas by the river. Picnic was great, good value. I've also done a food shop before going along for lunches and kept stuff in the mini fridge... More
