Travellers' Choice
"Relaxed atmosphere, contemporary style" Bank House is a unique Grade II * listed 11 bedroom Georgian town house hotel, set on the quay side in the heart of the historic and business areas of King’s Lynn, and a step away from the renowned Corn Exchange theatre and Arts Centre. Recently renovated to bring an eclectic flourish to the building’s Georgian grandeur, Bank House is now King’s Lynn’s most exciting and inviting place to eat, drink and stay. Our stunning bedrooms are each individually decorated and immensely comfortable. We love food at Bank House! Our menu offers modern brasserie food, using top quality fresh ingredients and taking full advantage of the wonderful produce of the area in season. Our elegant Bar, once the bank manager's office, is open all day. Teas, coffees and delicious home made cakes are available throughout the day, with the Bank House tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes served during the afternoon. We have a number of private rooms available for meetings and conferences, private dinners, parties and weddings, large or small, and can tailor our catering to suit your exact requirements and budget. Wi-fi internet is available throughout. Why not visit our older sister, The Rose & Crown, Snettisham?

This hotel came as a very pleasant surprise. From the moment we entered we were met with delightful helpful staff. Our room was large well equipped snd tastefully decorated with great views over the river. Dinner was excellent in a very buzzy dining room.

With out a doubt this was our favourite place to eat in kings Lynn, but when we went on Saturday it was a let down, the service wasn’t what we are used to! From getting there and them not having any lemonade for mixers in drinks, no staff coming to out our table to ask if our starters was ok when there was actually items missing, then having to waiting half an hour between courses and finally being presented with a considerably larger bill than we had which turned out to be for a different table. Food was good as it always is there but you go to somewhere like the Bank House for the whole dining out experience, it’s not what it was, we’ll be giving it a miss for a while now and hopefully it can get back to the quality of place that it once was.

The hotel, location, customer service, food, quality of sleep were great. We enjoyed everything, especially after such long break due to lockdowns. We were happy not to think about covid any longer and we thank the staff for that. However, we received the parking ticket. No one made us aware of limited parking outside the hotel. This kind of ruined our stay that we so enjoyed.

A refurbishment which has changed the building into an excellent, quirky hotel. We stayed in the Purfleet room recently for four nights. Everything about the hotel was amazing. The room is large but still cosy, the bed is so comfortable and we loved the china cups and coffee machine provided, such an improvement on instant coffee and mugs. The food was superb, freshly cooked breakfast a lovely way to start each day. Dinner was excellent and prices compared very well to other places close by. All of the staff were professional and so friendly. Highly recommend.

Have just stayed at this wonderful hotel in the Purfleet room. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated with five star service. The room was stunning, large clean and a better nights sleep than we get at home. The food was amazing and breakfast was 100% Every single member of staff was a delight to speak with, they were interested in their guests and made our stay really enjoyable. We will be back very soon because of the service received! Thank you!
