Travellers' Choice
Located in the heart of King's Lynn old town and overlooking the historic market place, the Duke's Head is perfect for discovering what Norfolk has to offer to the business and leisure traveller. Since Georgian times, this impressive classical building has welcomed visitors including Princess Victoria and Sir Robert Walpole (generally considered to be the first Prime Minister of Great Britain) in considerable comfort and style. Its location overlooking the ancient market place in the centre of King's Lynn would have denoted its importance in a town peppered with fine historic buildings. The Duke's Head is located walking distance away from King's Lynn station, nightlife, restaurants, bars and leisure club. Kings Lynn is serviced by regular trains to London and serves as an ideal location for discovering Norfolk. North Norfolk is an ideal tourist destination. Whether you enjoy the lively atmosphere and entertainment offered by traditional seaside resorts, the tranquility of the small fishing villages, which spring to life at high tide, you can't help but be impressed by the beautiful coastline and the fascinating history of its towns. The Hotel has recently benefited from a 3 million pound refurbishment.

I was told by a member of reception staff that I could leave my EV in the EV charging bay after I had finished charging (as the rest of the car park was full). I informed them that I would be in the hotel and happy to move the car if someone else needed to charge. In spite of them confirming that this was OK, 6 weeks later I received a parking charge notice which they and their enforcement company have refused to withdraw. Therefore I am significantly out of pocket.

Used the electric car point...went to reception to check it was ok. Receptionist asked if my car was electric. Funny. Silly question but innocent enough. Norfolk is full of quirks. I have to write more so i suppose the hotel looked a bit faulty towers to me!

Front of house- Mark and Erika- were excellent. Food was a total disappointment. Scallops arrived cold. On 2nd attempt much better. Cod was pleasant . However , the burger wasn’t home made as advertised . It was plain along with the oven frozen sweet potato fries. Front of house did offer discount which was pleasing. Overall, we won’t be returning.

Dear Jojo8791: Thank you for sharing your feedback, I am sorry to hear that we let you down with the food, our burger isn't homemade, and is at no point advertised as such... we purchase our burgers from the same butcher we purchase our sirloin, chicken, bacon and other meat supplies. I am sorry this wasn't to your standard. I am sorry that based on this you won't return to us. Best wishes. Jake Smith
