Seven of us booked in for the day to watch the rugby, have a bit of lunch and a few refreshments, all was going well, we were give scotch pie as a half time snack (which was very tasty), we ordered lunch which was x2 Fish & Chips and x5 Fly Half Burgers. My friends fish came first and it...

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you enjoyed your afternoon with us and our very popular food and atmosphere. The head chef has reminded his brigade about portion control. Hope to see you again soon!

Came to North Berwick for a couple of nights. I really liked the hotel, staff very friendly and welcoming. My room was lovely and had a lovely bath on my first night after getting a right soaking on beach walk as Storm Doris delivered a down pour. Ate in hotel first night. Loved my dessert, and the wine was lovely...

We are frequent visitors to the Nether Abbey for lunch as it's dog friendly so we chose it for an overnight stay to help my husband come to terms with a Big Birthday ! The room was spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom very well appointed and the food excellent as usual. The staff are friendly and helpful and overall...

Although this is golfing country, this part of the coast and North Berwick in particular is an ideal base for 'sea birding'. The sheltered waters of the estuary offer a safe haven for numerous wintering species, with the odd rarity thrown in. In choosing North Berwick, we simply went for a hotel in the middle, and in the Nether Abbey...

Although it was a dreadful day we decided to take the dog down to North Berwick which we all love for a walk. We stopped off for a lunch at this hotel which has been renovated. The waiter came right over and asked for the drinks order and it was pleasant to have my drink in a crystal glass. We...

We appreciated the welcome coffees on arrival, the tea tray in our room and the comfy bed and the views of the beach. Breakfast was a lovely selection but quite slow to arrive. The real disappointment of our stay however was a TOTAL lack of hot water at 8.45 this (Sunday) morning so not hot showers which was horrible. We...

I am glad that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay at the Nether Abbey and our breakfasts are always really popular. I was very disappointed to read of your experience with our hot water. We have 3 tanks and 2 boilers to ensure the water is always piping hot for our guests. One of our boilers broke on the...

We stayed for two nights thurs/fri 26/27th Jan. Ample car parking at front of hotel. We received a really good welcome at reception when booking in. Our room was No 8 which is on the second floor which you have to climb four flights of stairs to get there, which if you were elderly or not the best of health...

Booked for one night, we also took out little dog. The hotel staff were very welcoming, the room was nice. We ate in the bar area with the dog and the meal was very nice. The breakfast was very nice and even our little pooch got a sausage. Lovely walks along the dog along the beach. Will definitely return.

Our second visit staying at Nether Abbey and again all very good. Food was all amazing would highly recommend the sharing platter. Great atmosphere as very popular with locals. However, by far what makes this place special is the staff. Fantastic service nothing too much trouble and always with a friendly chat and smile. (Special mention for the young dark...
