Had a few days here and thoroughly enjoyed it with wonderful weather. The strength of this hotel is its staff as, without exception, every member of staff we had dealings with were charming, cheerful and helpful. The views from the rooms overlooking the Camel Estuary are really great - what a view to wake up to. The food is very...

My wife and I stayed in the Metropole Hotel on the 3rd and 4th July 15. Upon arrival we were warmly and professionally greeted by Hotel Staff. The reception area is pleasant and spacious. However we found the condition of the room disappointing. This is due to the requirement to update the decoration. Also very noticeable was the dirty grouting...

Stayed for four nights for my birthday. lovely room, beautiful surroundings in Padstow and next to the Camel Trail. This hotel is dog friendly and they gave our two a lovely welcome. We found that this place has the nicest staff, so helpful and genuinely friendly. The food is very good too.

Stayed for 3 days for a special anniversary. Room 34 was small with very small double bed. Asked to be moved but told nothing available. Woken at 5.30am with milk deliveries then 7.30am with laundry deliveries. Bed uncomfortable and upon checking mattress on leaving (wished I'd done it earlier) found very unpleasant large stain??? Staff very good, decoration very tired...

We stayed 10 nights with our dog and the Hotel was fab. The food is excellent and the staff are lovely. Our room was on the lower ground with a door leading straight onto the lawn. Great for the dog but we still had a sea view. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a beautiful bathroom. We met...

Overall, the Metropole is a good choice of hotel in Padstow. It's not a modern place, there were plenty of creaking floorboards above my room (which was below the terrace bar) but it had been recently updated and my bathroom in particular was great. The room itself was incredibly spacious, loads of room for one or two people. I was...

Thank you to Emma on reception for making us feel very welcome she was lovely & friendly. A bit tired but still gave it four stars because of the location. At these prices you'd expect more. The Metropole is a large, Victorian (I think) hotel with rooms overlooking the estuary at Padstow. There's parking for cars, which is a big bonus in Padstow's tight streets. Comp tea and biscuits in the lounge overlooking the estuary was a...

Arrived on a Friday evening for a 2 night stay. No parking on arrival had to park in a disabled space for a few minutes to unload our bags and then whilst I checked in my husband had to go hunt for parking. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming though. We had booked ahead for a table in the restaurant that...

This hotel is in the same ownership as the Falmouth Hotel, The Richardson Group. We chose an Executive Room as we wanted a King size bed, it was and was very comfortable. The room was on the lower Ground Floor opening on to the Car Park but it was not noisy. The room was very bare, no pictures, just bland...
