Enter Rick Stein's wonderland and prepare to be enchanted. From the moment we checked in to leaving two days later we felt we were on another planet. We were. After a 6 hour drive on a freezing day we were welcomed into a cocoon of warmth, friendliness and professionalism. Our room 'Tregirls' at St Edmund's house was toasty warm and... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Stay & Cook package and we really loved the accommodation. We had a room on the ground floor which opened up onto a lovely outside space with loungers and chairs and a sea view, which even though it was the end of October, we were able to use. the room was... A very ordinary and rather small room, crammed with furniture. Breakfast was the highlight of the hotel experience. Reasonable food in the Seafood restaurant but very inattentive service: finished plates not taken away soon enough, wine arrived late, poor knowledge of the menu from staff. If they are going to charge London prices, the service and facilities would need to... More

Our brother treated us for a beautiful weekend at St. Edmunds House. It indeed was a lovely treat. The room were beautiful and very homely with lots of bookshelves and books adding to the homely feel about the place. Our room had the bathroom up in an attic with a claw bath and all. While you had to duck and... More

A fantastic evening with family. Melt in the mouth scallops, to die for seafood and excellent service. Would recommend this for family visits and romantic evenings too. Very friendly, well educated staff. Padstow is a beautiful spot with quaint spots for exploring before or after eating.

Excellent accommodation with a relaxed feel. Only six rooms in this house, all look out over the garden and the upstairs ones, over the Camel Estuary too! A two minute walk to Rick Stein's seafood restaurant for breakfast, included in the price of the room and priority reservations for dinner. Nice airy room with a nautical feel and large bathroom.... Stayed for a mini moon break after our wedding - beautiful room and impressive bathroom (huge bath and lovely rainfall type shower), with a sea view. Felt very luxurious and also very much enjoyed the breakfast at the seafood restaurant - lots of fish choices available, would recommend the kedgeree! If there was anything that could be improved upon (and... More
