My son took me to the Pig as a treat for my birthday in March. The setting is stunning and you really do feel a bit special as you roll up the gravel drive. I was impressed by the somewhat vintage yet quirky style of decor as well as the retained period features, and hoped that the food was going...

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night at Easter. We both loved it. The staff were amazing. The room was gorgeous. The food was exceptional. And the hotel is beautiful. There is nothing not to love about The Pig.

Hunters (the brand) boots available in all sizes, staff wearing pink shirts (and converse) and beautiful food which, when it comes down to it doesn't taste as much as it looks.. We were given the most wonderful room, and it truly was like a dream both soaking in the hot Aston Matthews bath and going to sleep on the most...

Last evening we had dinner at The Pig to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. It was a wonderful experience. The venue is beautiful, a charismatic and well maintained old building set amongst the nature of East Devon, which is an equal to anywhere on the planet. We particularly loved the wonderful balance that has been achieved between luxury and simplicity,...

Have now visited The Pig at Combe several times, both for light lunches in 'The Folly' and garden, and also in the restaurant. In good weather the Folly is a great venue for a really tasty light lunch - e.g. Flatbreads, and this is our preferred venue as it provides the great service and superb ambience of The Pig at...

Just back from a quick stay at the Pig. We had been to the hotel when it was the Coombe house hotel and were curious as to how it would be. Well I have to say the refurbishment is lovely. Our room was a comfy deluxe with a bath in the room and patio doors looking out over the garden...

What a fantastic place. Had Sunday lunch there what great helpful attentive staff. Would like to make it our local. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff obviously trained in customer care. Will be taking my whole family there in June. Didn't feel over priced at all.

We walked to the hotel on a beautiful day and arrived in time for lunch. What a fantastic setting and team were great and welcoming and weather was amazing. Particularly liked the Dover Sole, and fish cakes... The tobacco onions were fab as were the chips..

There's no doubting that this is a lovely building, set in glorious grounds. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and very attentive. We didn't stay overnight as we are local, so cannot comment on the bedrooms. My partner and I were celebrating "big" birthdays and were looking forward to a lovely evening. The important thing for us therefore, was the...
