A great, old village inn with lots of character. Steve & Sue are the landlord & landlady of some 20 plus years standing which probably accounts for why this inn is a popular meeting place. Great, courteous bar staff. A very welcoming, quaint county inn. It has 3 letting bedrooms and Room 3 is on the front of the building....

Stayed here for 8 nights while visiting family in the area. The pub has a great family atmosphere with attentive and helpful staff. The food was superb with great cooked breakfasts and first class evening meals. We never ate lunch here but we are sure it would be equally good. Prices were excellent value and service too was excellent. The...

We have been here several times now and again it did not disappoint. We met friends for lunch on a Sunday. We booked which was essential as it was busy. Despite being busy the service was efficient and friendly. The food is great and good value. Will definitely be back.

Visited The Crown Inn today with friends for the first time! We loved that it was dog friendly, our lurcher just snoozed next to us! The staff were so friendly and we were served quickly. The food was delicious, I had the roast beef and then chocolate brownie, every last bit was eaten! A lovely Sunday lunch in a fab...

Visited the Crown Saturday 26th November 2016. I had booked a table 2 weeks ago, I asked the big gent behind the bar if I could reserve the table by the fire, no problem sir was his retort. 3 of us arrived at the reserved time of 12:30 on the 26th, the table we had reserved was in use, I...

This is the second time we've eaten here and were not disappointed on either occasion. Yes you go out for a meal to enjoy tasty food but that's only part of the experience. You can have the very best food but if the place is cold, bland and empty you will not enjoy it. The Crown is anything but this....

Visited the Crown on 5th November 2016. The Crown is a wonderful building, with a friendly feel as soon as you walk in. Our table was beside an open log fire, which not only gave warmth to the place, but also gave a very traditional country Inn feeling. The staff are excellent, and attentive, my daughter has a special dietary...

This little "Gem" in Little Walden takes some beating. The friendly host and staff make this one of our favourite places to eat. The delicious food, in generous portions makes this the ideal place to impress your friends and family. The menu consists of many favourite dishes to choose from.

Located above a wonderful tradition pub (see separate review), The Crown Inn is an unpretentious, clean and comfortable place to stay. We reserved two of their three rooms for five nights and couldn't have been happier. The rooms were private, with en suite bathrooms, affordably priced, with comfortable beds and nice amenities (hair dryer, mini shampoos, extra blankets). The owners...
