Friendly staff welcomed us to the restaurant, I chose a Dressec Crab salad specifically asking for no beetroot. It came smoothed in the stuff. Waitress didn't seem to know what to do so I explained she should get me another one! Crab very tasty. I hoped for an offer of a free glass of wine or dessert to make up...

We'd booked a room specifically with a bath. On the journey there, my partner remarked how much she was looking forward to a good soak in said bath. However, no bath. On raising this with the manager, with a shrug he blamed booking.com for the confusion. Room was barely big enough to swing the proverbial cat. Had supper at hotel...

I notice this place gets very mixed reviews and I understand why. In my experience of eating here perhaps three times a year it varies so much from one visit to the next. I recently called in for lunch with a couple of friends and enjoyed it thoroughly. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table where the waiter...

A very enjoyble stay. Staff extremely friendly, always checking that room, food etc is satisfactory. Our room was spotlessly clean, with tea and coffee making facility. Shower room had lovely large fluffy towels together with all the little extras that appeal to guests (note hairdryer!) We had an evening meal in the restaurant with our daughter and all agreed the...

If you like quirky buildings, beams and low ceilings then this is the place for you. This carefully renovated hotel gave me a pretty room with Amazingly comfortable sleigh bed and luxurious bedding and pillows and a sweet shower room. But from my room I could literally hear every word of the conversation of the table in the dining room...

Me & my 2 young daughters. Chaotic management & service - even my 9 year old daughter mentioned this to me! Massively overpriced for what was eventually served. £46 bill - 2 sandwiches. 1 soup, 2 soft drinks. 2 glasses of wine = £14.50!!

Went in for wat we thought would be a nice meal WRONG, and the waiter was ignorant and made us feel really uncomfortable. We did try to complain to the manager but was awkward. As the waiter then came over and denied being rude. And got charged £4.11 for an added service charge. Totaly disgusted and will definitely NOT be...

We never stayed at the hotel we just had dinner. We ordered 2 Empire State beef burgers and a chicken burger it was tasty and very filling and it was a good price. The staff never talked much because it was extremely busy but they were very helpful and well mannered. I would recommend it.
