Delightful Inn. Enjoyed the stay of 4 days. Charming bar, restaurant, garden tables Could use some renovation here and there. Carpets partly worn. The rooms are nicely decorated. We had a very small room while the bathroom was grand. Unfortunately our room was facing the Kitchen exhaust. Could not open the window in the evening. Walk the 300m to the...

My boyfriend and I visited The Weatsheaf for the first time on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The food was amazing - quite possibly the best roast dinner i've ever had, and the portion sizes were generous. Neither of us could finish our desserts (we had the Marathon pudding - it's a marathon to finish it!). The...

Just spent a weekend at the Wheatsheaf Inn celebrating our wedding anniversary. Had a lovely room with a stunning bathroom Food is fresh local produce cooked very simply but deliciously and so good that Michelin chef Paul Rankin regularly dines there (including last weekend when we were there). We preferred the food and more relaxed style of dining at the...

Having been bought a voucher for Christmas so we could book an overnight stay whilst visiting our son in the Cotswolds we were surprised at the cost for a room of £270 per night with continental breakfast, if you required a cooked breakfast it was extra. Therefore,as we felt the room cost was extortionate we decided to book a table...

Gorgeous little hotel/pub with rooms. Perfect Luxury on a budget. We had booked a room with a bath. As a woman it was the perfect size, and had one end higher than the other making it ideal for a long lazy bubble bath in which to read a book. We had drinks in front of the fire before dinner. The...

Visited for lunch whilst in Northleach on another matter. Although we hadn't booked we were able to get a table as at that time the restaurant wasn't full, however it seemed to fill up very quickly. Drinks and food were very reasonable and tasty, the place for lunch or dinner if you are in the area.

I have visited the Whearsheaf on several occasions and enjoyed the best of times. I therefore, booked it for a special evening with my nephew who was visiting us from the USA. What a huge disappointment the evening was. It started with the barman lacking urgency and then getting the order wrong. He seemed more interested in serving the locals...

Very comfortable and welcoming. Excellent restaurant attached. Cooked food at breakfast costs extra but the cold buffet included in B&B is excellent. Dog friendly with some rooms opening into Garden. Lots of interesting old pictures around the place at odds with some bizarre modern pieces like the vulva focussed abstract nude and gunslinging Elvis Costello in room 2 to the...

I stayed in the Wheatsheaf to celebrate my birthday, my first as a new Mum. It was so nice to be able to still enjoy a gorgeous hotel with baby in tow. We were given a free upgrade which was wonderful as there was more room for the baby cot they provided for us and an incredibly dramatic, deep bath....

Went for late Sunday lunch - food was fine/good but so wanted it to be more special. Service was warm and friendly - but a bit slack - forgetting things, wine not coming until end of starters. Having been to some other Cotswold pubs/restaurants (e.g. The Plough at Kingham, Wild Rabbit and Dormy House) I wanted it to be better...
