This hotel and restaurant has clearly set high standards and does everything it can to meet them. On a recent birthday visit, my partner and I stayed in room 3, which although was cosy, had everything we needed. The staff were very accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable with some nice local products in the bathroom. Breakfast was...

Sadly the slow service has let them down. Any apology for the unavailable expected side dish, dreadfully slow service (4 hours total) and getting the bill wrong would have been a bonus. It was a lovely lunchtime and it was very busy though that shouldn't have been a problem. In it's favour was the quality of the food but it's...

We stayed just one night at the Wheatsheaf and were sad to leave! It is impeccably decorated, a wonderful mix of authentic vintage with sophisticated comfort in an historic building. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to the most discerning travelers I know. Both our dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff was helpful and friendly, although busy. The...

Northleach is a charming small town and the Wheatsheaf is a delightful inn or restaurant with rooms. WE had a delicious dinner from a well chosen menu; there is an excellent wine list too although my husband had half a black sheep ( a local craft beer not a huge barbecue). Our room was well equipped with a very comfortable...

The rooms were lovely, well decorated and the full size bath and shower were great. Room 12 was quiet - definitely one I'd book again. The staff were great - responsive to suggestions and requests. My friend stayed in a room that was a little noisier due to another guest's bathroom fan being left on, they moved her the next...

Having been to The Wheatsheaf previously I was excited to go again as a treat for my partner's birthday. Falling on a Monday he was delighted due to No Corkage Mondays. We were therefore disappointed to be told this wasn't possible during Cheltenham Festival week (nothing on the website indicated this was the case). The Sommelier who greeted us was...

We did not stay at the Wheatsheaf because we were staying nearby with friends, but we had a very special milestone dinner in the private dining room in the back with a lovely view of the gardens (even in winter) and terrific staff attention.Everyone's main and dessert choices were phenomenal, as was the wine selection. One particular standout appetizer were the...
