My girlfriend and her French parents stayed at Yew Tree in early November for 2 nights. Vivian's home was beautiful and had such a lovely English country feel. She also cooked an amazing breakfast with plenty of little extras which made it special. Vivian also advised on places to go and lent us her Cotswolds guides books. Wished could have...

We highly recommend Vivien's place in a quiet hamlet that's Turkdean. The rooms are subperb - we had the large Beam room which was very comfortable and warm with dual electric blankets Vivien is genuinely interested in everyone who comes to stay and is very supportive with advice on places to go and things to do. We were visiting Northleach...

Yew Tree Cottage is a Cotswold day-dream come to life. My husband and I were enchanted by our 3 night stay in mid-October. This Turkdean home and the gardens were lovingly restored to vibrancy by Vivian, who is a multi-talented, delightful hostess. She even fashioned the topiary yews adorning the property! Breakfasts in the kitchen next to the Aga are...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. This is the kind of place we could only dream to live in. We enjoyed being able to stay in such a cosy beautiful cottage. Vivien was wonderful, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Delightful breakfast, we were sorry to leave. We will be back. Kerry and Mark

This was our first UK trip with our six month old daughter, and we loved it. Turkdean is a quiet, pretty village, and Yew Tree Cottage is at its heart. One side overlooks the church with parts dating back to Anglo Saxon times, the other across the trees and rolling fields beyond. Its owner is welcoming and thoughtful, and the...

This was our first trip to the Cotswolds and staying with Vivien at Yew Tree Cottage for three nights really made the whole experience complete. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she is the most welcoming of hosts, and as others have said, she does such a fantastic breakfast that you don't even think about food again until evening...

We stayed hear upon reading TripAdvisor and we were thrilled with it. Vivian gave us excellent travel tips and advice and helped plan our daily activiites. The breakfasts were one of the best on our 4 week holiday - with such quality and homemade bread and delicious jams.We had elderly parents with us and "they still talk about Vivian" one...

We were so lucky to have stayed at Vivien's for 3 fabulous nights, in our first experience of the English countryside. Vivien have done an excellent job in converting an old cottage into the warm, lovely, cosy and intimate Yew Tree Cottage. The bedroom was absolutely a delight with its low beams and undulating floor! It has modern conveniences like...

Our stay with Vivian and her wonderful Labs was beyond description. I truly have not ever had as naturally satisfying experience. And the Breakfast portion is a marvel in itself. Vivian makes a wonderful home made bread (I haven't had its like since childhood in the 40's) and an oatmeal porridge made overnight and slow cooked, old style. All of...

It's hard to imagine a lovelier cottage than Yew Tree or a more natural and friendly welcome than that provided by Vivien and her dogs. We also enjoyed the quiet unspoilt countryside around. The highlight for us, however, was watching sparrows and a vole feeding together inches from the kitchen window - a ready-made spectacle every morning! The only small...
