We stayed here for one night in November just for a pre Christmas break. On the morning of our visit the owner rang to ask whether we would like an upgrade to a superior room but pointed out that it was up an extra floor. As we had no issues with stairs we gratefully accepted. The room was beautifully decorated... More

This is an excellent B&B. The proprietors are polite and courteous at the same time as being very helpful. After a long drive north, she offered to make us a very welcome pot of tea. We had a castle view room which was spacious and the breakfast delicious. Pretty much faultless really.

We recently stayed for 4 nights at The Priory and loved everything. The owners and staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Chris and Sarah have renovated the guest house to a really high standard and the room we stayed in (room 5) was beautiful and very comfortable. The bathroom with shower and bath with a view was great... More

Beautiful guesthouse & wonderful hosts! Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was made from local produce & all freshly cooked (very tasty!). Our large room (No.6 on top floor) was stunning; vaulted ceiling with original oak beams & beautiful copper bath as a feature in the corner. The bed was the most comfortable we've ever stayed in, & all the... More

The bed was possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The room is beautifully equipped and the copper bath is a real treat, especially after a long walk in the gorgeous... More

Spent a very pleasant 3 nights here. Large room, comfy bed, great breakfasts and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly we didn't get the chance to experience Sarah's baking but we heard great things about her prowess in that department! Would definitely stay again, must try the scones.
