We have eaten here on visits to the area in the past and once again the quality and quantity of the food was simply top notch locally sourced pub food. There is also a large choice of beers to choose from in what is a smallish but very friendly dales pub in an idyllic riverside setting. Famous for it's ham... More

You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I am not going to spoil my favourite pub in Britain with too many words. It is just as it should be. The beer is perfect, the food is plain, honest and delicious and there is a roaring fire in winter. Come, enjoy, weep for what has passed.

We found this pub on the Sunday and it was busy with big platefuls of Sunday roasts and Yorkshire puddings .We enjoyed a pint in the beautiful beer garden and after speaking to the lovely dark haired barmaid we decided to go back on the Monday evening for a supper . Six o clock they start serving evening meals and... More

Nice ye olde style traditional pub with small rooms & a massive beer garden perfect at the end of a long walk. We arrived late afternoon so all the food tables were occupied, which is good for the pub obviously, so standing room only! Been here many times but never reviewed previously. Good selection of ales

After reading the great reviews I was surprised by my experience of the Cover Arms. We went for an early lunch and fortunately it was a nice day and we could eat in the garden. The setting is lovely, the garden is nicely kept with pretty flowers and has a lovely area for children to play in by the river.... More

We finally managed to get to the Cover Bridge Inn, it had been recommended to us many times. Lovely food, nice welcome following an awful wet day. To sit near the fire and pick up advice re local walks was a lovely pick me up. Then a stroll down the river Cover and along the river Ure, a perfect sunny... More

We stayed about 5 miles from this pub and tried it after hearing positive reviews from locals. Many real ales and continental lagers on offer at reasonable prices. Friendly owners and super food made us go back the following night. Beware - the portions are VERY generous !!!

Four nights in the Inn and four days fishing on the River Cover within walking distance nearby made for a splendid break. Sharp spring weather didn't detract from all day chasing wild brown trout up and down a two mile beat as a lovely fire awaited our return plus a wide choice of real ales and friendly staff/locals with a...
